Can someone explain to me how to use the insulin pen with syringes? I am used to the viaks but got pens this time around. Also I got Lantus but have been using glargine. Are those the same thing?

Yes Lantus is one of the brand names for Insulin Glargine. Looks like you've got a generic now. You would use the pens the same way that you use a vial. Insert the syringe at the end of the pen that is capped but you would not inject air in the pens like you would in the vial.
