Well we are off to a stellar start to the day with a lovely green. But since I'm running a curve on her today I'm sure she will pull something unexpected..lol.

amps=93
+2=228
+4=147
+6=57
+8=122
+10=165
pmps=235

And while I would agree that Autumn is well regulated I would like to point out if you look at her spreadsheet we certainly didn't follow anything to do with Tilly to get to this point. Autumn takes far longer than those 3-5 days to settle and starting her out with trying to follow Tilly's is why we have bounced back and forth on doses so long. Looking back on her last couple of days I would say we are at the perfect dose, especially if she holds on to the numbers from yesterday

Except for the +2 yellow food spike she is wearing her blues and greens again today...so far it looks like we have the purrrrfect dose, kinda glad I didn't knee-jerk and reduce her yesterday.

Devil's advocate: could the 228 be a little bounce off the 38 yesterday?

Whichever - she will really need a decrease once she has that dental.

She's putting together a nice run....

Kind of thinking looking at this curve, we may be done with insulin once her dental gets done. <fingers crossed and anti-jinx>

Sheila, I wondered about that 228 being a tiny bounce off the 38 yesterday as well, but at least I'm not seeing her usual pattern today of her having a really good run of numbers and then shooting up and hanging up there. But then again it could also be from her going in and licking the drooler's bowl after he finished and getting a little gravy as I have never noticed her to be a particular food spiker before this. Musette on the other hand I could predict she would spike about 100pts on just her regular food, that is why I am so trained now with Autumn not to freak out and run for the Karo and HC food on a lowish number.

I can only imagine what her numbers would have looked like today if I had given into the knee-jerk to either reduce her down, or even given her medium carb food yesterday instead of just calmly feeding her lunch as normal. And can you imagine how far along we would be by now if her original owner hadn't let her go so long without insulin or even a diet change? Somehow I'm betting if her diet would have been changed even way back when she would already be sunning herself with Maxwell at the falls..lol.

I hear you on the " what ifs" about the former owners. I try to let it go because there are things we will never know (unless we can corner said owner in a dark alley and interrogate them, lol!). I know what caused Beau's FD, and can guess about Jeddie. I thought the declaw was the precipitating factor with Cami, as her BG at surgery intake was 114 or something, but after the "object" appeared, I am not so sure. Cami's diet was changed to FF classics, which didn't appear to make a difference in her appetite, wt. loss, or BG. But she responded fast to insulin and then just as quickly backslid until she vomited the thing. Now look where she is. I just got a +4 of 59 on less than a 10th of a unit.

But I also think there is something to coming our of the gate with lev or lantus even on long time untreated FDs. Look at Vinny. Untreated something like 22 mos and OTJ in two months (less maybe).

I don't get phased over the things that got me the first time around. I remember running to the kitchen for the insulin when Beau tested over 600, lol! His first 60 probably freaked me out too, not to mention the first 30. I don't like seeing Cami below 60 because she is still so fragile that I worry about her stamina to get through a real low. I probably would give her HC if she was at 38, just because of that.

Don't think I could ask for a better curve especially after that low of 38 yesterday...just a pretty blue and green smilely face with a gold tooth.. :lol:
So unless someone sees something I'm not it looks like that fat .5u is just what her pancreas ordered...I would say just what the doctor order, but except for going to be shaved she has never seen her doctor, of course in about a month that will change and she will have a nice clean mouth again. Then I have a feeling she will teach me microdosing as a fine art. :-D

Looks good. I know that 235 was probably a bit of a disappointment - and probably another tiny bounce from the 57 even though it wasn't as low as yesterday.

It sure will be interesting to watch her numbers after the dental.
