Good morning World! Welcome to our home! Last Condo
AMPS 293
Well all I can say is at least it's not pink... :roll: ..it was at PMPS last night. This darn cat will NEVER be 'regulated' - doesn't mean I won't keep tryin' tho'! Many times I have NO idea why he zooms up - at least I've learned what makes him go LOW, not eating! He's really hungry this morning, eaten almost a full can of Friskies as well as a whole saucer of fresh boiled chicken. He's even begged for a few pieces of his EVO dry. I always know when that's what he's requesting, I keep it in a different place than the other foods - he takes me to that corner then stares at the jar WAAAAAY up there on top of the old sewing machine while softly talking...."...please Mama PLEEEEAAASE....".
Last day of 2012 - the year from hell for my heart but I don't see this coming year improving. The year started with us losing SweetPea, 3 months later losing Samson, 3 months later losing Harley, 2 DAYS later losing my little brother then 2 months later losing Lacey. I'm still not sure all the pieces of my heart are there....BUT WE CELEBRATE THEIR LIVES TOO!!! Each of them taught us SO much and love SO completely with all their being.
This year has been a year of 'learning' - this year I've learned:
* A cat with diabetes is unpredictable = at least MY cat is.... ;-)
* Lymphoma is a nasty nasty thing but GRAIN FREE FOOD, prednisone and doxycycaline (ab) will keep it at bay for months.
* How to take one day at a time WITHOUT seeing the 'dying' part of my loved ones.
* Hearts wear out for several reasons.
* A heart murmur can only be handled with lots of LOVE, daily enalapril and lasix. When the end nears, love them across.
* Hydro Cardiomyopathy is also handled with LOVE, daily enalapril and lasix but fluid in the abdomen area does NOT respond well to lasix.
* There's a%sholes in this world that don't CARE about anything with 4 legs, they'll run over them then scream loudly that it was SOMEONE ELSE'S FAULT, not theirs....after all ...."it's just a dog..."....
* Cat litter can cause asthma attacks
* Good food and love can change an animal's hair color from a washed out faded look to bold, soft and thick.
* Pugs are wierd....
* Hips and legs will remold after a severe injury if given good food, love and the proper exercises.
* LOVE! MORE amazing LOVE!
* There are worlds of amazing wonderful people at the other end of this computer willing to help us when we ask.
* Prayers WORK! I knew this but this year it's been drilled into my head over and over and over!
* Even kitties with deformed mouths can LEARN to eat SOFT food - only took 5 years for Nuisance to learn....
* TELL others that you care! Let them KNOW that you think of them, that you care what happens...before suddenly you CAN'T.
* My DLB's spirit is strong enough to let me know on his birthday that he's OK! I didn't tell this story here but believe me, he let me KNOW he was OK with absolutely NO DOUBT that it was him!
* All I can do for those hurting is the best I can
* Quit blaming myself for my loved ones being slowly taken - it's NOT MY FAULT! That's the way life works. THAT was HUGE!
* I'm absolutely blessed beyond belief every day that I wake up.
There's lots more but I can't think of them right now. I'll probably add to this as the day goes...
BIG HUGE HUGS for all that visit today! What have YOU learned this year?
