Good morning everyone!

Today, I'm off. Yay! That's the good news. The bad news is (1) I forgot to arm the cameras last night to see what she was up to. (2) the Libre sensor ends in 24 hours. So that means I have get another sensor on her today to let it "soak" before activating it. I really hope she cooperates and I can get it on just like I did this one. More good news, it lasted the full 15 days, I'm amazed! prior experience told me it would only be 5 to 10 days.

it would also be great if I could walk away from this sensor application with hands intact and not bleeding, but that may be too much to ask of her. Who else is she going to take her frustrations out on???

Hoping everyone has an uneventful day with safe surfing kitties!!!

I managed to get a new Libre sensor on! Went through 2 though. The first one stayed in the applicator, of course.... so now out if 7 total 3 have stuck in the applicator and 2 have not lasted 5 days. Looking back though, the application of those is when she moved on me while pressing it on so I'm sure the filament didn't get injected properly.
I really hope this new one lasts. The application smooth. I'll activate it tomorrow and we'll see.

She even has her Type One Style patch on!

Good luck with the activation tomorrow! Good job with the installation ๐ŸŽ‰

I use a toothpick to hold down the edge of the paper disc of the sensor and very gently lift off the cap (while holding down that paper).

Sorry for all the ones that you couldnโ€™t get off. You could contact Abbott and ask for replacements (just say they didnโ€™t separate from the cap properly (which is true).
And of course never say itโ€™s for a cat ๐Ÿคซ

Bravo on the installation! That's a very fetching patch she has on.

(In re: Abbott, they JUST got back to me about a sensor I reported for replacement weeks ago, so they seem to be a bit backed up. But later is better than never!)

I just got an email from them today that stated they are replacing one of the sensors. I sent the request in a few weeks ago, the first week of December. I have only done 2 replacement requests because I hadn't heard anything from them. But I am going to send in more now. I've seen where people have had multiple sensors replaced.

Congrats! And only 1 bite. You're getting better, or she's growing more tolerant. Maybe both.๐Ÿ˜‚
She may be growing more tolerant in the moment, but she is still pouting! She gave me attitude during pokies for PS. Now she's in the bathroom, laying there flicking her tail up and down while staring forward. Of course I had to go in there for a moment and she definitely let me know how she's feeling. (She likes the memory foam rugs in the bathroom despite her numerous beds)
She's holding a grudge! ๐Ÿ˜…
I'm sure she'll get over it!
