Yesterday was a day of recovery. We started out pink, made a nice blue for pmps. It was a good day for the Nanner King - the bounce was a short one. This so reminds me of the Mannie I used to know who would clear the bounces in a day. I hope we are back to this pattern. Paws crossed! You did well Mannie. Good job, big guy! cat_pet_icon This morning, a sunny yellow: barely, but it is yellow....

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D Mannie has been a goof big brother and checking up on his older sister. He cruises by, gives her a quick check, then heads on to the nanner pile. It's kinda cute how he will sit with her for a minute, watch her, make sure all Is OK. Yesterday the two nanner piles became one long big line. :lol: :lol: I'm not too sure on his logic on that one, but he seems to like them that way. Hmmmmm... maybe then there is room for DGS and him to play side by side... :shock: :razz: :razz: :cool: We had a great test feed shoot this morning: lots of purrs and head rubs from the Nanner King. Breffis was consumed with gusto - still at warp speed, clean plate club status maintained, the auto feeder continues to be used (YES!!), and well yes, once again Elsa did raid his auto feeder... :roll: What else is new there. :shock: :roll: :roll: Normalcy in MannieLand: well almost, BJ is home, we continue to work on getting her better.

BJ update: no change or improvement. She is resting comfortably, but very inactive. Tube feeding continues to go well. I continue to have hopes for my little girl, but just don't know....

Have a great day everyone! I am on DGS duty today, then have fur days off. The weather is so iffy today, we will no doubt be dodging the rains... if so - off to the Aquarium! I know I will not be able to get to condos until very late in the evening, So So sorry! Do know that I am thinking of you all, and your furkids. Think BLUE, think GREEN kitties!

And completely OT: these are some photos from nicholas's ad my adventure yesterday. This is River Meadows Park, near Arlington. Nicholas liked the place - anything with a river. as normal - the minute he saw the water off he went. I had to haul him out three times. :lol: :lol: :lol:

A rest day is good. Mannie seems to be right on track lately. :-D Have fun w/ Nicholas, I hope the rain holds off.

Did you get BJ's labs back yet? Paws crossed for good news.

Morning Michelle, and peppermint white mocha, yum, I may have to get one of those drinks with extra espresso shots. Looks like Mannie may give permission today for some fun at the Acquarium. I hope, too, he starts clearing his bounces in a day. Cute, cute pics of Nicholas yesterday and beautiful smile. Elsa sure loves some of her brother's fuds. Have a great time today with Nicholas.
Glad the tube feeding is going okay and your little girl is resting comfortably. More vines for BJ for a restful, pain free day.

Hey Mannie, great idea for all of us to meet at your house to check on BJ and bring more chickin soups. Yay, cross country skiing it is today. I'd better look for my fleece and ski boots. See ya soon, my friend, Maggie

I'm glad Mannie seems to be returning to his bounce clearing habits. Now if we could just prevent the bounces in the first place, wouldn't that be great! It's so sweet he is checking on BJ. They know. I hope her labs come back clean and she recovers quickly.

I love seeing the pics of Nicholas. He's probably too young to remember these adventures when he's grown. But he is surely developing the basis for a great outlook on life with this time he spends with you.

Good morning, Michelle. You are lucky to spend so much time with DGS, he is such a fun guy. Steady is probably good news for BJ at this point. I'm glad the tube feeding is going well. OK, Mannie, let's clear this bounce and get back to those nice numbers. Have a good Friday!

Thanks everyone for visiting Mannie while I card for DGS. We had a break in out weather so I was bale to take him out the the river again today. We went to one of his favorite spots. It was a great time - even though his fav beach was under water! We were able to find a small portion that wasn't, so he was able to play after all. That boy does love the water!

Thanks Celi, Anne, Linda, Ann, Ella, and Ann for checking up on Mannie. It is much appreciated. It has been a good day for him - a repeat almost of the day before: pinks with a slow descend to the blues. What a good kitty: DGS travel permission slip in the morning, an evening that wasn't too bad. :-D Thanks too on the pics! I was glad we were able to go outside someplace - hooray for a weather break!
Ella - the little river rat did not disappoint - another stellar day at the river. :-D
Ann - you should! They are my fav coffee drink - short of a real good cup of just plain coffee. ~O)
Linda - so agreed on the bounce thing! if only!! thx on the pics - you are right - i hope the love of the outdoors remain!

BINKS! - I know BJ would like that very much, She says it makes her feel good when she looks pretty.

BJ update - no labs yet, they say they are delayed due to the holiday. She had not had a very good day today, with no visible improvement, perhaps a bit worse. But she is resting in her favorite spot. Tomorrow we go to the vet to have her bandage changed and the eTube insertion site looked at. This will be her regular vet, and not the specialty clinic. I am prepared to let her go, if that is the decision that we both come up with when she sees her tomorrow. I just can't let her go on like this much longer- she deserves better.

Hey everyone! Thanks for coming to see my sister. It makes her feel so much better. The skiing today was so so good! We gots to do this again! I knew we'd find snow.... lots of it! OK... tie for a campfire or fiorepklace fire and kitty story telling. You guys in? See you! ~~ Mannie

Michelle, sounds like it was a nice day for you and DGS, and he so loves the water. Mannie is looking really good and a nice blue there for the pre shot. Mannie sure has things under control there today with his cycle and keeping a watch on his big sister. So sorry to hear BJ did not have a good day today and sending vines for tomorrow's Vetty visit to check her E-tube site and discuss her medical issues. Sometimes these illnesses happen so fast and no warning beforehand of symptoms. Maggie and I send lots of love and prayers to you and BJ.

Hi Ann, and Tess - thanks, and you are right. it is difficult, but we must be there to speak for them when they cannot speak for themselves. oh heavy sigh... my poor girl. I guess that at 18 she is entitled to be tired.

Hi Ann, and Maggie - yes! DGS and I had a really nice time. It wasn't too cold for once, and the river was so pretty - very fast and very high, lots of rapids. Sure was pretty! Thanks on BJ. It really is appreciated. Things don't look too good right now, she's not very responsive, and the treatment doesn't seem to be helping, when it should be now... well. we will see how the vet feels tomorrow. I appreciate you checking up on us. It was just as you said - very fast, no warning.

Maggie - I know - it was fun, wasn't it! I am excited to have everyone here - it will be so fun! ~~ Mannie

Tess - that sounds like a plan! I gots two fireplaces so we can pick the one everybody likes best! Hey Binks is coming too, he wants to do BJ's hair fur stuff so she feels pretty - cool huh. She will really like that. See you soon! I've got the toddy's bubbling on the store. WOOT!~~ Mannie

What a fantastic blue afternoon for Mannie. So glad he is back to quick bounces and back to business. It's very important to have one's Nanners in a line!!

I sure hope BJ starts to feel better soon and get a bit mor energy. Poor sweetheart.
