Simon polished off all of the food I left him last night when we went to bed (a couple of tbsps.) which is unlike him. He began howling for us to get up an hour earlier than usual. He was not so much interested in breakfast as he was his "snack" from his AMPS test. He went right to the testing place and waited patiently when I got downstairs. I had to laugh since in the early days when I would say "Simon, time to do your ears" (that is what we call the test..lol) he would run and hide and now he LOVES this (not the test, the purebites treat) so he was very ready today.

His number was a little higher than yesterdays tests, but he was meowing for a full hour and running up and down the stairs trying to get me out of bed @-)

Day 12 of his trial nailbite_smile

Looking good. Love that he hurries you for the test. You really should share that story with some newbies on Health who are struggling with testing, Joyce.

 Rumpelteazer is kind of like Simon (they have some karma going on) when it comes to testing. She seems to "know" the time her tests are....she will come looking for me. And, just like Simon, she gets in her spot and gets her body into position.

She does this without even wanting a treat anymore. She used to get a PureBite treat in the beginning....my civies didn't like them...but then again RumpelT will eat anything.

I say "C'mon RumpelT, let's do the pokey-poke".

PMPS 109 and the OTJ trial continues

I will share that Simon does not mind testing anymore. As a matter of fact, my cat sitter (the wonderful Michelle the vet tech) said that Simon is so good about testing, we should make a you-tube video to help others test. I never heat his ear or anything and he bleeds on demand..LOL. I also show him the meter. He knows the drill well. I say "did we get blood?" and then I say "Yup, and now we just have to put it on the strip so don't move, kay?" And he stays there till it is on the strip and while I hold the Kleenex on the ear to stop the blood. Then I put the Neosporin with pain reliever on (we laugh and call him "shiny ear") and then he gets his treat. He knows the whole deal..
