Ok, I gave her the shot. Because she ate and I know that will raise her up a bit. I did make it a skinny dose because I didn't want to wait and get too much past her shot time. I have an appointment today and then.meeting my daughter at Costco (because she wants to shop and I have a membership now, lol) to pick up her Libre. Then we are coming back to install the cameras and hopefully attempt to put the Libre on. Paws crossed she let's me.....
 
Good job shooting in the green. Perhaps get a +1 to see where she's going and maybe another one just before you leave. Do you have an auto feeder where you can leave her some food for later in case she's dropping?

I don't have an auto feeder. Buy I give (them) half can each of FF at shot time. Another 1/2 can at either +1 or +2 and they don't eat it all at once. So there will be some to snack on until I get back home. That's what they have always done since they were babies and I can't seem to get either one to eat all of it at once. Guess cats get set in their ways like we do. Little stinkers...

Ok that's fine as long as she's got some food to graze on just in case she needs it.

Mine's the same way! It doesn't seem all bad, honestly, since eating a little throughout the day is recommended for FD. But well, I'm very much not an expert, and someone should feel free to contradict me.

She is such a cutie. Best of luck to you with the Libre - I'll be trying the same thing myself for the first time! 🤞❤️
 
Look at that cutey pie! And I had a boy that was 19lbs once!😬 Now I still have a 15lb heifer. She was so trim when she was an outside cat. She just showed up one day and we took her in before a snow storm was set to hit. Now she eats young again zero after she packed on weight with essence Ranch and Meadow, but I can't get her to lose the weight!

I can't seem to get her to lose weight either. Let's just say weight loss despite eating was NOT one of her symptoms of being diabetic, lol
 
I got the Libre and got it on her. It's on for now. I had a bit of trouble. I got her used to the clippers enough while she was having some treats to shave, she still doesn't like it. I was a bit confused with the skin tac wipes. Her skin didn't get tacky after wiping several on her. But my fingers sure did. It scared the life out of her when I pressed it on, she tried to get away and managed to turn her head and bite me a bit, but I'm used to that. She didn't hurt me. Now im getting a bandage wrap to put on her to try to.keep this thing on. It's the only one I have. I took her bg before we started because I know it would raise with her getting a little stressed. Now I'm waiting for the phone to get the info, it said 60 min. And I now have cameras installed too. All.of this thanks to.my daughters help!

I've only gotten as far as the shaving part; I'm giving Gen a break before we do the rest of it. I did just reread the instructions in the guide from the Facebook group, though, and they say your cat's skin isn't supposed to get tacky, but you can tell it's ready when your fingers do? 🤷‍♂️

That's what I thought it meant, but I wasn't sure. I hope I did it right! I had to do it while my daughter's here to help me so we maybe rushed it a bit but she really did so good for us!!!! I was shocked!!
 
I am such a proud mama right now. Monster did so great with this whole process of the Libre today. She actually let me shave her!. She was scared of it at first but while eating treats, she realized it wasn't hurting her and maybe even thought the vibration felt kinda good. I added her first Libre reading to her spreadsheet but will still manually test for PS. For now, I will indicate with "L" for the sensor readings.
