Morning ~O) today at 8:30 am is Vetty senior exam and b/w day for Maggie. I sure will need some of Mannie kitteh Barista's coffee today to get Maggie thru the Vet visit, thanks Mannie. ~O) ~O) Mags is calm on the outside and lets the Vet and Techs examine her with headbutts and purrs, but I know she is stressed on the inside. First thing she does when I bring her out of the carrier and place it underneath the exam table is start looking for it. She would almost fall off the table, if not for me holding her, leaning her little head over the side wanting so badly to hide in her carrier. That's the only time they love the carrier is at the Vet's! :lol: We're most concerned with her renal values. Six weeks ago they improved, and fingers and paws crossed and any vines will be grateful. Detective Poo, no prezzies yet today unless she surprises me before Vetty visit.

Weather calls for am showers, so hope we don't get caught in it, as it's a little walk to my car, not bad, but Maggie weighing almost 10 lbs. starts to feel a bit heavy.
Healing vines for all kitties needing them.

Good vetty vines coming your way!! Isn't it too true on the carrier? :lol: :lol: :lol: They have to take ours apart to get Tarragon out at the vet, but he runs right back in. Paws crossed that her renal values are improved and that you both make it back home soon. :YMHUG:

Sending you and Maggie crossed paws, good vetty vines, good thoughts and prayers for a good vet visit and good results. Don't get caught in the rain and give Maggie a little scritch for me.

You are exactly right about the carriers at the vet. Kind of funny that "the box" is all of a sudden their best friend.

Thanks Melissa, oh how funny with Tarragon, too, and taking apart his carrier! :lol: Thanks for the paws crossed Vetty vines. Maggie is being extra lovey this morning, probably sensing something is about to happen and hoping buttering up the Bean will help matters. :-D

Thanks Mary, and yes, they re funny with the carrier all of a sudden being their best place. The Vet lets her stay in the carrier while taking her b/p. It's a soft carrier and zippers on the top and sides. Scritches just given to Mags from you and Ollie Mags says yes please on the perfume to remove Vetty smell. :-D

Detective Poo checking in. Hopefully some prezzies today. Paws crossed for a good vetty visit. That carrier sounds great. We need one like that except Zener often pees in the carrier so we need one that is easily washable. :roll:

Hi Liz, this carrier is great and light weight for transport to the car. I can carry Mags in my arms above the waist instead of by the handles. It has a removal strong pad that can be removed and washed in case of accidents. I found it at a small Pet People store and haven't seen it in PetsMart or Petco, but I bet you can find one online. If I see one similar online, I'll send you the link.

Some Vetty stress and car ride stress, too! Also Mags was picky this am, so I gave her a little higher carb, but being so carb sensitive, it doesn't take much. This was mostly b/w, weight and bp. Her senior exam comes up next time. The Vet gave us some Dasuquin to try for Maggie's joints. Have any of your kitties tried this supplement? Oops, left my glasses in car, so excuse typos!
I'm off shortly to run some errands as it looks like Mags is giving permission.

Thanks Amy for the vetty vines. It was a shortened green surf! :lol: Sime white coat syndrome I think! I'll get the results of her b/w tomorrow afternoon.


Thanks Michelle & Scrabble. All went well at Vetty. She is a really good patient. She's pretty chatty right now, probably telling me just how she feels being rooted out of her nice warm bed to be planted on the exam table and then to get the needle thingy in her private parts to get a urine sample. :lol:

Awwww poor Mags, having to go thru all that and more!

I really hope her renal values are good, Leo and i have fingers and paws crossed that everything comes back good.

I hear ya on the carrier and the vet, its the same thing with Leo. I bring out the carrier at home and he runs in the opposite direction!

Thanks Tracy & Leo for the good wishes on Mags's renal values. I should know tomorrow afternoon. Mags has a little bump on her ear, and he is concerned about it, so I'm trying another spot for the pokes. Otherwise a good overall report and says she looks good.

Your carrier sounds very similar to ours which I did get at PetSmart, but years ago. The handles are long enough that I canput them on my shoulder and snug her right against my body. We put a puppy pee pad inside for easy cleanup, but Tess usually manages to burrow totaly under everything in order to hide! :roll:

Hi Ann - I'm glad Maggie's visit went well, but look at that vetty stress and carb number! Come on Mags, back down. You had some nice greens!

I'll have to check out that carrier. Maybe I can use that to transport Leo to and from the car, and not lug the heavy one up and down the stairs each time.

I hope you get good b/w results for Maggie. That's not too bad of a jump for vetty stress. Hopefully she'll come back down quickly.

Hi Ann & Maggie,
We are glad that the vetty appointment went well. And look how nicely Maggie is coming down already this evening! Fingers and paws crossed for a good report tomorrow. Maggie, KTSS will be along with the spa treatment.

Rusty is pretty good about the carrier, but always happy to hop back into it when his appointment is over. Those soft-sided carriers sound neat, but with a 17 lb. cat, I'm not so sure I'd want to carry him over my shoulder (he weighs almost as much as my bicycle!).

Mags sure did come down nicely. I think the PMPS 231 was Vetty stress and carbs.

Thanks Lisa, looks like Mags listened and came down nicely. She's been eating like it's her last meal, so she must have been coming down fast. She loves the Dasuquin sprinkled on her food. A soft sided carrier would be easier for you with steps. So glad you and leo are both feeling better, and leo is playing and getting settled.

Ann & Tess, looks like Mags will get back to the Lagoon tonight. The test results will be in tomorrow. I thought this was an exam today, but it was mainly the b/w, b/p, urinalysis. The Vet did come in and discuss a few things though.

Carla, looks like Mags listened to all of you and came down. Not too bad for Vetty stress and some carbs added to get her to eat before Vet.

Vyktor, I'll be waitin on my patio for you. Bring lots of perfume and champagne, Luv, Mags
 
Hi Ella & Rusty, missed you as we were posting same time. Mags says she can't wait for the spa treatment from the KTSS. Yes, she sure did do a turnaround tonight. This carrier does have shoulder straps, but I must have removed them. It has handles, but I carry her close to me above the waist using my arms more than the wrists.
 
Hi Ann - so so sorry for the late post. It's been crazy here and I just couldn't get to the board til now.. I hope your day has been a good one. just wanted to day HI! Hope the vetty went well. It oloks like a good day for maggie.
