Good day!

I was out yesterday so never got around to posting. Morgaine has been pretty flat and in the mid blues quite a bit with no sign of green for many days so I fattened her dose last cycle. She did come down to 93 in yesterday's PM cycle.

We are having a problem with her litter. It sticks to her paws and I had to clean it off again with warm soapy water and many strange sounds coming from her. There was an attempted assault on mamabean's hand but she missed. Does anyone else have this problem? Apparently on her way out of the box she must sometimes step on a wet spot. I am just going to have to check those paws frequently and keep that box even cleaner.

Other than that, Morgaine is cruising along. We are still waiting for the new sheets I ordered from Overstock. Last night she came into the bedroom with me and just sat there meowing. I don't think she understands why we are not sleeping in there but hopefully enough time and some new stuff will stop her from peeing on the bed. Can't wait to get back into my comfy bed.

Wishing you all a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

Good luck with the new dose. We want to see more of those greens. Sometimes litter sticks to Weezer's feet when she comes out of the box, but it fall's off within a few steps. That must be very sticky litter! Can you teach her to wipe her feet?

Rosalie, we had the same problem with Dr. Elsey's litter, all the kitties were tracking it everywhere. We were so thankful it solved the LB issues we put up with it for a while, then switched back to our reg. litter with the Dr. Elsey's shaker can. I hope you get your new sheets soon and can move back in!

Re: 12/29 Morgaine AMPS 156

I've seen some mats that are supposed to go around/near the litter pans for the cats to walk on. They have a rough type surface to help get the litter off of their feet. They look a bit like fake grass.

when binks had polyuria and was peeing so much...he used to get wet litter all over him

that's what prompted me to go for the Breeze Box...
but I know Morgaine didn't like the LB change.

I've had this happen to J.D. when he peed in his carrier on the way to work and then was sopping wet and I had to bath him in the kitchen sink at work   and then before he was dry, he jumped back into the litter box and tracked it all over the place. Could her feet be wet before she gets into the litter box, somehow? Just a thought.

Nice +3 Morgaine cat_pet_icon

Her feet are dry when she enters the box. I think the litter is jsut very gooey and when wet it sticks to her paw. She pees at the front of the box so when she gets in it or out of it, unless totally cleaned out, she must step in the wet, gooey litter.

We are coping. I like the litter because it clumps well so i do not have to change out the entire box very often since i can get the used litter out.

At this poit I don't want to change things but if anyone knows of a good clumping litter without scent, please let me know.

Hi Rosalie: Nice AM cycle for Morgaine!!! Sorry about the paw/litter problems. I use World's Best Original...I love it. It is a clumping litter made from corn (but none of my cats have ever tried to eat it). I don't buy the scented as my thinking is that scented litters are for people and not for cats. I like Sienne's idea about the little mat that is supposed to help get the litter out of the paws.

Hope the bedding comes soon and it all works out. Happy New Year to you as well.

i've seen those little mats and wondered if they work. might be worth a try.

sending "hurry up" vibes to the Overstock people. i think you need your sheets!!! :-D
