12/29 - Leo - CBD Treats for Diabetic Cats?

I have read a little into giving a diabetic cat CBD for the inflammation caused by diabetes. I had given my cat that had a heart condition and a dog with Lymphoma CBD before and it seemed to help them. I used treats from a company called Holista Pets. They seemed to like the treats (way better than the oil) and in my research they seemed like a reputable company.

Leo has had pancreatitis and one vet told me they saw a mass on his pancreas that was 2cm. Then I was able to go back to my previous vet (he had left for another job but decided to come back 1 day a week for previous clients) and he said most likely that was scar tissue or fibroids from having pancreatitis. He wasn't as concerned as the other vet with it being pancreatic cancer.

Just wondering if anyone else has used CBD and did it help?

I have not used CBD oil on Ruby though I've thought about it a lot and did some research. Seems like it's an ECID thing, and the formulas that seem to help the most are ones with THC in them, and that's restricted according to which state you live in (I can't get it in New York or New Jersey, but you can in states where cannabis is legal). It looks like the Holista Pet CBD treats have potato starch and peas in it that wouldn't be great for Leo's diabetes. If he doesn't like the taste of the oil, I have read that it can also be rubbed into the ears.

I have not used it but was looking into it because it may be good for inappetence. My understanding is it should to be thc free as it is harmful to cats. So hemp based would be best. I have seen it as salmon or meat flavoured drops( can't remember where though ).

There is mention of it on Tanya's CRF site. But it would be interesting to hear if anyone here has used it.
