Yesterday

Zener is doing fine this morning. Appy is so-so. I had to open another flavor and follow him around a bit. He also bit into the piece of zantac in the pill pocket and seemed to chew on it. That probably didn't help any. :roll: :lol: Here are some pictures of Zener, braving the elements for birdie stalking.

Wow, Zener must really want those birdies to brave snow like that!!! I don't know, Z....I think I'd stay inside where it's nice and warm!!!

Oh boy, Zener one brave kitty to be out and about near the snow. Come inside Zener where it's warm. Sending appy vines. Maybe the bite into the pill set off his appy, and it will get back on par soon. Have a nice day. Is this good snow for skiing today, Liz?

Hey there, I saw your post in Milos condo and was looking at your kitty fuds. What flavour of Pro plan are you feeding? Most seem pretty HC.. and the FF chicken florentine is 12%... I know you said he prefers 8=11% carbs but maybe you could sneak them down a little? Just a thought...

Brrr! Leo always wants the back door open to sniff and survey his domain, then walks away, and when I close the door, he gets mad and comes over and scratches to get it opened again! Nice numbers Zener!

sorry to have missed so many condos lately. I've been in recuperation mode from christmas and that cold. Zener has been spectacular!

In MN my GA Cleo would want out, take one look and head back, but would go to the other door wanting to see if it was any better out there! :lol: :lol: ohmygod_smile

@Amy & TrixieCat - Zener is very please you think he is so brave!

@Barb & Checkers - Zener is puffed up something special today with all his LL aunties remarking on his snow bravery!

@Ann & Maggie - it takes him a few days to work up to being such a snow bunny. But once he gets adjusted, then it's back out to the backyard for big business. Boy howdy, hunting for the frozen poo sure tests the poo patrol's skills! ;-)

@Michelle & Scrabble - I think Liz took these with her camera and then to her laptop, no go yet with the download from the iPad. Appy has improved thank goodness!

@Wendy & Tigger - there is a long and drawn out saga in condos past on Zener's path from dry kibble to wet food. There were some funny tales of me traipsing all over town to buy every possible wet food. His FD also affected the nerves to his stomach and we went through a period of poor/no motility, not eating and syringe feeding. And we survived it all to be in such a much better place today. We only have three kinds of wet food that he will eat and sadly, two of the three are pretty high carb - 12% (Fancy Feast Chicken Florentine) & 13% (pro plan urinary formula). I completely agree on trying to get his carbs down, and wish he was as into fuds as many kitties are. :sad: Just in the last month has he started to eat fancy feast chunky chicken (5%) and is hit and miss with that one. We appreciate your thoughts! :razz:

@Anne & Muffin - the mighty Z is adjusting to winter mode. It took a couple of snowfalls, but now with paths shoveled in the yard and big bird action to watch, he ventures out and is very brave! :twisted:

@Lisa & Leo - Leo is a smart guy! Our kitties LOVE for us to leave the door open in the summer and still try to convince us it's okay to leave it open now. :roll:

@Ann & Tess - great to "see" you here and hope you are fully recovered from the hollydaze! Cleo sounds like she was quite the smarty cat!

Liz is out skiing now so I've taken over the afternoon duty, which is a breeze when he is on his surfboard. :mrgreen:

Nice greens for Zener! Hopefully biting into the Zantac is all that made Zener's appy off and he'll eat better later.

What a beautiful cycle today for the Z Man! Way to go, Zener! And you are a brave kitty, alright. Rusty won't even venture out into the snow, despite his long, Main Coon coat. He was more adventuresome last year.

Hope you both are having a wonderful vacation from classes with lots of fun in the snow.

@Ella & Rusty - maybe Rusty is waiting for his snow shoes before getting out in the powder? ;-) We shovel paths for the kitties so they don't have to break through the snow. We are enjoying our break and doing our best not to think about classes starting up again. :lol:

Maybe just a food spike? Come on down Zener. The day looked like such a nice cycle. The snow looks pretty deep there - up over the top of kitties. No wonder you need to shovel kitty paths.
