I am starting to wonder if Max is seeing a little more effects from SRT, which was 14 months ago. While I really love his numbers lately, I feel like I’m having to watch him more carefully, feeding more often and sometimes feeding MC. I took a small reduction (not earned) over the holidays and we’ve stayed with that dose. I want to keep him safe, but also want to keep him in green as much as possible. I’m considering going back up to 70 as his reduction point, but I’m not sure if I should yet.

The radiologist from NC State emailed me today to get a report on how Max was doing, so I responded with that information and gave them the care plan that he is on now. I was happy to give such a good report on Max.
@Wendy&Neko would you mind giving me your opinion on whether I should try another small reduction or if I should go back to 70 as a reduction point at this time or leave him as is?

This is so very encouraging! Congratulations to Max. As I understand SRT, it can take up to 3 years to make its effects known. Right now, Eddie is 8 weeks out of SRT and his numbers are 1) all over the place and 2) really encouraging as well.

Good luck to you and Max for 2023. We go on! :cat::cat::bighug::bighug:

Thank you Jodey. Yes it is encouraging. I’m glad you are finally seeing some lower numbers for Eddie. Hopefully you will continue to see him trending downward. It’s hard not to be a helicopter momma when you never know what and when something is going to happen, so that’s me these days, a helicopter momma. I’m sure you can relate. Best wishes for you, Eddie and Blue in 2023.:)

I'd consider a reduction, just to bring his nadirs up a bit. The 50 the other day was just a bit close to the line!

After Neko's first SRT, I sat on the same dose for three months one time, cause the nadirs kept on being in the same zone (70-80), then the SRT action picked up again. It all depends when those tumour cells die off as to when you see action. You can always take your reduction point up to 70 again, then lower it if it doesn't work. Safety first is my motto.

Thanks Wendy, I did give him a little reduction. What you said is the same way I was thinking too.:)
