Phew, last night was rough. Bell had a really nice cycle today. With her floating in the upper 40s and lower 50s last night, I would expect a bounce tonight. But usually that PMBG would be a bit higher if she was zooming up. We'll see. Maybe she wants me to stay up with her again...

Goopy eye seems a whole lot better today. Her new thing is to trap me on the floor after my run while I'm stretching and make me lay down without a pillow for an hour. What can you do, she's the boss.

Bell occasionally will get a runny eye that gets a little goopy. It usually lasts 1 to 2 days and then she is fine. Her nictitating membrane seems a bit more prominent/swollen and sometimes she is sneezy. I'm guessing it is just a herpes flareup but I'm not really sure. Just glad it clear up fast.

Yes, could be herpes. Harper Lee had an issue with a goopy eye without the sneezies, and I thought it was herpes, but it was really persistent, so I took her to the vet, and he said that it's possibly Chlamydia (since she wasn't sneezing). We had her tested: he was right: it was chlamydia. We treated her with antibiotics for a solid month (bc chlamydia is hard to eradicate), and it knocked that ish out.

Do you give her l-lysine?? (Viralysis)

oh woah, poor Harper Lee! I bet her tummy needed some probiotics after that!

I used to give them both l-lysine chews, maybe I should get back on that. Blair's flareups are worse and driven from stress. She has a week of sneezing after a vet visit (poor girl).

I pumped that girl full of probiotics as we went :)
