Good morning :)

Fistuk was active again this morning. A bit more than yesterday. Played wit the ribbon and gave a couple of old Fistuk's bunny leaps.

We had 3 free cycles. That was nice. Last night low blue and a +3 bump this morning. He's scratched his ear a lot this morning. and his breath is rasping quite loudly this morning and I think it started last night.

I have a question about Prince, I hope it's ok to ask here.

He's developed an acne. looks quite severe. Quite a big patch under the skin. I googled a bit about it. I do use stainless still plates. For the past three days I've clean it twice day, dried it and applied CBD oil. Some of the black stuff is coming off but obv it exposes the skin and there's a bit more bleeding.

I wonder if anyone has some positive experience with a treatment and can share.

Wishing you a peaceful day :bighug:

Good morning Shelly!
Looks like Fistuk is having his famous +3 bump ;)
Mikan's brother, Yuz had a little bit of acne under his chin. I used Vetericyn plus a few times.
His case was very mild and it disappeared fairly quickly - not sure if Vetericyn did anything.
If available, worth a try?

Wishing you a lovely day, Shelly! :bighug:

Hi Kit :)
I think his bumps correlate with rasping breath. But I’m also thinking that it’s most probably his normal state. I’m not too troubled by it now since it’s mixed in with good green cycles u like previously that seemed to be a trend that I didn’t understand.
Thanks for the recommendation. I guess it’s a medication? I’ll ask in the pharmacy here if it’s something I can get over the counter. Unlike in the US there’s not much you can get over the counter besides cosmetics and supplements.
Wishing. You a wonderful day :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Shelly, glad to hear Fustuk is being playful today and bunny hopping. Does he seem to be walking better and in less pain? I hope so.
He does have a consistent +3 bump these days. Hmmm.

Hoping you get some answers about the chin acne for Prince. Seems to be a somewhat common issue for cats.
Have a peaceful day and safe surfing for Fistuk!

Hi Shelly. I'm glad to read Fistuk is doing well, if he jumps, that probably means his legs are feeling better :bighug:
Bella has some acne too a few years ago, I don't remember the name of the product we used but it was a vet's prescription, maybe the same one Deb is talking about.

Hello Shelly and Fistuk.
So happy to hear he's being playful and hopping around. I hope that means he's starting to feel better.

As for Prince and his acne Nestle sometimes gets them and I use chamomile tea bag to soothe it. It's natural and most of us usually have that tea at home. This is what I found on google:

Brewing chamomile tea, allowing the tea bag to cool to room temperature and, if your cat will allow, holding directly on the affected area for five minutes.

Hope this helps.
Wishing you a boring and calm day

Hi Staci :)
He's walking a bit netter after he's had a bit of a "warm up" when he wakes up from a few hours sleep or lying all day it takes him some time to move. He's still walking very carefully and slowly and not many steps. But in the morning he def shows some different energy and being playful is something that he hasn't been for a while.

I too hope I can find the right treatment for Prince. It's painful to see him like this :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Shelly!

I've had a few cats over the years with acne and blackheads. I use Chlorohexidine pads. You can order them on Amazon. The brand name is called Pet MD.

They're good for all kinds of minor cuts and scrapes too!
Hi Deb :) Thanks for sharing!

I wonder if you know from your experience if it's ok if it's bleeding a bit. I think it started bleeding when the black head started coming off. It's not bleeding all the time just leaving some blood stain when I clean it. I do it very gently with a wet cotton and then dry it before applying CBD oil or coconut oil.

I'd rather avoid using antibiotics much as possible but I don't have experience with acne so I don't know when is the case that we must go to the vet (who I can be sure will give AB)
Hope you've had a good Christmas day

Morning Shelly, It's always good to hear that Fistuk is active and played with his ribbon. I hope you can find something that will help with Prince's acne. Poor baby :bighug:. I hope you all have a nice e day :bighug::bighug::bighug::cat:
Diane, you would have loved seeing him this morning. He was adorable :)
Yes, ut break my heart to see Prince like that. I read somewhere that it's more painful for the human to see than it is for the cat. I hope this is true.
I hope you've had a good Christmas Day :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Cecile :)
I agree that there's some improvement or he wouldn't jump. I also massage his hind legs and hip white a lot during the day. he really appreciates it.
It's a slow progress but it's encouraging to see a positive change :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Karolina, I think that cat with the full belly in front of the fire place is me :woot::woot: always over eating over Christmas :joyful:

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll try it. Prince is much less cooperative than Fistuk. Holding it for 5 minutes would probably be impossible. If I mamange a minutes it'll be good. I'lll try for sure.

Hope you've had a good Christmas day :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Would've LOVED to see that! Probably the cutest thing ever...

I hope the ear scratching goes away for Fistuk. My Cleo is itching lately too.

Hopefully Prince's acne clears up too... always something, always sometime. CATS!!! :cat:

Have a great day/night, Shelly!
I'm sure you would have adored it, Jason. I always try to video him but he's a quick check bunny :joyful::joyful:

I think the ear scratching has to do with gut health. We're in a process of giving Fistuk gut restoration probiotics. I help to see a change in that. You might want to look into it for Kona.

They sure keep us busy. A labour of love.
Hope you've had a good Christmas day:bighug::bighug::bighug:

It sounds like Fistuk feels stiff from sleeping and needs to warm up his joints and legs. Like a little old man. But so good that he’s playful again. That has to be a good sign.
You will find something to try for Prince, I’m sure of it. You’re on top of it, Shelly.
Hope you’re having a great rest right about now. :bighug::bighug:

Hi Shelly!

Yes, I think a little blood is normal, just like if we had blackheads or a pimple. My cat had them bad and would get little clusters and then they would scab over.

A neat little trick is buy a very soft toothbrush, and see if Fistuk would like to be scritched in the area of the acne. It helps the flow of oils in their skin and keeps the area clean!
