Hi everyone,

Sid and I wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas and happy new year. Sid is doing great :-D He is still on all of his medications (leukeran, prednisolone, famotidine, subcutaneous fluids, vitamin B injections, baytril, and sometimes ondansetron) but he has not lost any weight in the last several months (he's a hefty 6 pounds) and he just had another xray yesterday (he gets them monthly) and the congestion in his chest is finally subsiding. He wrestles with the other cats, carries his toys around, and loves his freeze dried chicken treats.

I hope you can all see the card attached so that you know how grateful we are for all of the good advice and support you all offered in 2012. Last year in January, the vet's told me that Sid only had a couple of months to live, but thanks to everyone here, he was able to enjoy 2012 and hopefully many more years :-D

I have been wondering how Sid and you are doing! I'm so happy to see this WCR!! Hearing that Sid is doing well -- birdwatching, wresting with his buddies, etc., was an unexpected present. Wishing you and Sid and your entire family (furry and otherwise), a happy and healthy New Year.

That's remarkable with Sid. Amazing what the proper loving care can do

Chip is still pretty much on a roll, back over 16 pounds. I've been using less test strips and actually getting *some* sleep.

The level of help here on FDMB is amazing. :smile:

SO glad to hear that sid is doing so well! you deserve the credit for all the work to bring him to this point of being healthy, lydia. ya done good!
