yesterday

well ya know how things always happen when it's the least convenient time ever? the lancet device stopped working last night. so we didn't get a late night test last night (after struggling for about 10 minutes with the stupid thing) and this morning we struggled another 10 minutes and finally managed to freehand a poke. jeesh.

the chance of being able to get one today is practically zip - so we may be good at freehanding by the end of the day. we dropped his dose .25 and i REALLY hope we don't get any low numbers that require many pokeys!

other than that, all is well here. punkin was like a crazy man this morning not wanting to sit still while we messed with his ears, trying to get away from us the entire time. i was ready to sit on him! :lol: anya has been checking out the new toy while it's turned off and not as scary. my cousin is stirring, but everyone else is still asleep so santa has time to deliver his presents.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!! Very nice amp Punkin. all my pokies are free hand - you get used to it after a while. I actually prefer it, a little but more control for me. Good luck!

Quite a combination, Punkin doesn't want to participate and the pokie machine is on strike!

I'm like Michelle; freehand seems a little more controlled to me. Or maybe I'm just too lazy to load the deivce. :lol:

Meowy BLUE Catmas, punkin! Anya, what a brave girl you are. We do freehand too but Zener stays pretty still, considering. I do think of punkin when Zener does an ear flick at the most inconvenient time. :lol: :lol: Have a great day!

I finally gave up on lancet pens recently and have gone to free handing. Not sure which Willie dislikes more! :lol: :lol: :lol: Punkin is looking most lovely in blue tonight! Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas!

aw, you guys are the best! thanks for stopping in and saying hi to the Punkerdoodle and me!

he bout knocked my socks off with an am +3/112 - gave him med carb and an extra 1/2 can of food and he still was down to 75 at +6. i, of course, was in the kitchen most of the day and kept forgetting the Most Important FurBoy in my life needed testing. at the last minute the DH would grab a test and we'd carb him.

sadly, he's at 345 tonight. what a day for the punkin.

i feel very blessed to have Lantus Land peeps in my life. it truly is the best place you never wanted to be. I'm grateful for each one of you and thinking of you tonight. :YMHUG:

now i'm going to fall into bed, complete with benadryl so i sleep all night!
