200s yesterday, checked before going to sleep at +4 and first time said 154 but didn't feel like I got enough blood, second time took quite a few pokes and showed 199. Now he is back up again. Is this what a bounce is?

Not sure, possible? For Chronos blues are unusual, but the AMPS isn’t inconsistent with his readings from prior days. He likely will just have to keep going up, but just follow the advice of more experienced members. @Wendy&Neko

EDIT; yeah i think its a bounce. He had lower than usual levels yesterday, that probably caused a bit of a bounce.

Thanks for the response, still learning. Was nice to see a decrease yesterday so seeing the 370 was upsetting.
I can relate 100%. Look at sam’s sheet! He went from blues to reds a couple days back! He bounced hard. As time goes on they get used to lower numbers. Sam bounces almost every other day.

You’re doing a great job by the way. Chronos will start to adapt to lower numbers over time. They often are very bouncy to start.

Look at the positives; you got him to levels that he hasn’t been at in a long time. His liver got scared, released glycogen, spiked his blood sugar. Now his liver will respond a little bit less to numbers that low. That IS progress; each time this happens his liver will become a bit less jumpy.

Yea I have been following your posts each day and rooting for Sam to find his sweet spot.

One positive aspect for Chronos is that he has yet to display the symptoms of diabetes, no increase in drinking, we've always added water to his food for kidney stuff, so he doesn't drinking normally, nor increase in peeing and his weight is good, actually been going up I think because of the insulin so might have to cut some food since he is already a little over 18lbs.

That was actually how we found out his BG was high back in April, seeing him drink, some weight loss and then I checked his BG (we had our monitor from another cat and saw the 300s). Guessing back then he probably had been in the range for awhile and then got to the point of showing symptoms. But this time since we were checking his BG every few days we probably caught it as he was coming out of remission from the diet change but before his body started to show symptoms.

Will see what his +5 is then give him a break from pricking til PM shot, did quite a bit yesterday, feel bad for his ears.
