Molly's starting off in the blue today so I will keep my eye on her this morning. She's pretty cranky from all of the testing, so I'm probably not going to be able to get good curve data to see how the dose is going but at least enough to be sure she's safe.
I think part of the wonkiness of her SS numbers is the fact that she's not very hungry during the day......but at suppertime...she eats quite a bit. I do leave out food all day and night so she can snack if she wishes and miraculously I've trained the dog to leave it alone even when we're not home! (what a good doggie!) If it weren't for the depot issues, I'd be tempted to give Molly different doses morning and night.

Well enough about that, there's Santa on the way!

Wishing everyone in LL a very Happy Christmas! May you all be safe and happy over the holiday and enjoy the blessings of the season.

That's a nice start for Molly this morning. What a good dog to leave the cat food alone. Have a great Christmas Eve and Christmas.

That is a really good doggy. I hope he gets something good in his Christmas stocking, too :)

Here is the link to your Yesterday's Condo: http://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=85562

Besides your other tests, I would try to get a +5 today.

I hope you and Molly and your wonderful doggy, have a lovely day.

Well Dyana, thank you for suggesting the +5 test.....Got a little surprise in the 50s there! Molly seems fine, and has been happily running around this morning.
I was cooking bacon which gets her very excited, unfortunately she can't have any but the aroma stimulated her appetite and she's been snacking on her food here and there (and I gave her a bit of cooked chicken) so I think we'll be safe but I will watch her and if things are lower at +6 will try the 20 min tests as you suggested (as much as she will tolerate)

Have a very happy holiday!

Hmmm we're sort of flat between +5 and +8......how do you tell where the nadir is?

I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately to post on your condo but Molly is looking good!! She likes this dose.

Wait and see what she is at +10 or +11 and you might be able to tell the nadir. Most of us who have been here a bit don't worry too much about it because it changes...sometimes from cycle to cycle. It looks like Molly is clearing a little bounce
and so she might not even actually have a nadir this cycle. When they clear bounces, sometimes they just slide right down into their next shot or they come down and level out and surf into it. I'd just keep checking her every hour as long as
she is in the 50s if she'll let you.

Good job! And what a great dog

Re: 12/24 Molly PMPS 94

Thanks Marj, well it looks like +5 through +10 will be her nadir tonight

Her PMPS is 94 so I went ahead with the 0.5U and will be home tonight to check on her.

Merry Christmas to all!

Re: 12/24 Molly PMPS 94

Good job!!!! She did great by coming up a bit. I'd still get a +1 and +2. She might be headed into a bounce but you never know.

Re: 12/24 Molly PMPS 94 +2 88

Well, +2 is 88 so I'm not sure which direction we're going yet. I'll keep watching.

Hope Santa is good to you all. Have a great evening!

Re: 12/24 Molly PMPS 94 +2 88

I'd say she is likely to have a typical lantus cycle which means she'll probably come down. Of course, cats...even my own...have proved me wrong. But since her +2 is within meter variance of her PMPS, we usually keep on top of the numbers.
