It's a Christmas surprise, Jack has decided he is feeling better and rewarded me with a small PJ party. It is so good to see him back to his usual self! I even got him to pose for a pic in front of the tree. He is not a posing type of cat:D

Found a new ring for his bowl which is so nice. I'm a little nostalgic about the old bowl and happy to be able to keep using it.

Picked up the bloodwork results from the vet. Overall looks pretty good, after the holidays I'll ask some of the experts to take a peek and see. His T4 was a bit low, ALT/AST keeps looking better. They were supposed to do a specfPl, but I don't see it on the sheet, I believe that had to be sent to IDEXX and these are from antech diagnostics. Might have to ask about that one. Got a chuckle, his cholesterol is much better since the first labs, probably better then mine these days:D

My mother passed years ago and my best friends mom is "momser #2" and sent a very nice embroidered cat ornament which was such a neat gift

Hope all the kitties and beans are enjoying the pre festivities and have a very safe and merry holiday!

Wow and what the heck, I had to look twice at that AM number! Bet your Dad did too  And what a great new avatar !

Gad you found a new ring for the bowl. Funny how we get nostalgic over things .

What a sweet ornament for your tree and very thoughtful of Momser #2. Hope your Christmas Eve is wonderful.

So relieved to hear Capt. Jack is feeling better and gave you a nice Christmas surprise this morning. :D Glad you have a mommz 2...they are certainly a gift and love the ornament.

WowWee Jack!! Such great news that he is feeling better, had good labs AND that you can still use his bowl ( I was rooting for your finding that ring!:))
That is a beautiful work of love ornament! :bighug:

Thanks Leslie, it might not be a quilt:D but it is handmade which makes it special to me. She has a sewing room in her house and I've helped her with her high-tech machine that connects up to her computer plenty of times.
I was getting worried on the ring, lots of places I checked had glued on bases, saw a lot of ceramic bowls. Was getting stocking stuffer stuff at the dollar store and low and behold found one and best of all it fit perfect!

Labs look pretty good to me, but a few little things stuck out that I will have the lab experts here chime in on once the holidays are over.

Amazing what feeling better can do to the numbers. The SS and experience had me prepared for the morning after I saw his 5am number. I never would have thought I would be getting up in the middle of the night to test my cats sugar level... How things have changed since his Dx, it is now so routine I don't even think it is odd... although most of my friend still do!

What a a great AMPS. :D Even better that Jack is feeling better. If the bloodwork is Antech, they may have sent a sample separately to TAMU for the SpecFpl. Idexx does their own test. So that one may take longer. As for the T4, I remember reading somewhere recently that lowish T4's are an acro thing. The pituitary sends hormones to the thyroid and the acro tumour can impact that.

Love the handmade ornament. Handmade presents are the best.
