12/23 Yoyo AMPS 326,+2 297,+4 124,+5 122,PMPS 269,+2 249,+4 197

Go Yoyo! It looks like his numbers are slowly trending down again. You may want to get a +5 to see if he's going to keep going down.

He's probably at his lowest, +5@122, so time to feed him now. Am I feeding him appropriately? I held off after +4 to see if he would drop more but I know he wanted some food, I feel bad but I thought food would increase his numbers for the +5 reading. I only feed 1/6 can as @Rosie & Bailey has been a great mentor to me and has advised me to feed 1/6 can portions which has been working great! I guess I'm just wondering if I am doing right when I feed him the bulk between AMPS/PMPS and +1 and then I don't give him any food until after the +5 reading.

You have to find a feeding schedule that works for you and Yoyo. It's better to feed most of the food during the first half of the cycle, before nadir. Do you have any freeze-dried treats? If he is hungry and you are waiting to test, you can feed freeze-dried treats or a little boiled chicken, something that is very low carb.

So-if I can get him to eat chicken, he's very fussy, the chicken won't effect his BG readings like his fancy feast does?

Plain chicken is low carb and shouldn't raise his BG much, if it does at all. The only way to really know is to feed him some and see if it does. ECID.
