Thank you for the discussion on feeding diabetic cats. It is very helpful. I understand why Ole is obsessively hungry, I was looking for guidance on how to treat his symptom. Thank you for steering me to the discussion. Ole has never been overweight and currently weighs about 9 lbs, which is on the light side of his normal range. He weighed 11 lbs when he was diagnosed, and his lightest weight was 7'14" when he was diagnosed with P in November. Currently, his caloric intake is about 180 calories/day.
Today Ole is feeling well, took a stroll outside this brisk 24 degree morning. His spirits are high. He likes to play fetch, I use the game as a gauge to his well being. Last night he brought me his ball 4x, and this morning once. His evening play is always more active than his morning.
Thank you again and I hope everybody is surviving these last couple of frantic days before the holiday!
