Good day!
I was in and out yesterday and never got to posting. Last night I was petting Morgaine and checking her paws when I discovered that her back left paw was all crusty with something hard stuck on it. I believed it to be clay litter. It was really bad so I got a bowl of warm soapy water and a baby washcloth and began to try to clean it off. EW! Turns out she must have stepped in some loose poo and it was dried onto her hair and between all toes and her foot pad. It was really in there and I just kept soaking it and cleaning it off until we got it cleaned up. Needless to say she went ballistic and hissed and scratched me a couple of times producing a minor wound to my hand. I wouldn't take no for an answer and she finally settled into it and let me clean her up. Poor kitty! It really was awful and I am sure painful for her but her paw is clean and she seems to be walking fine. Who knows how long she has had that on her? Since she is not allowed on the bed, I have not been able to fully get my hands on her. This has not ever happened before. I am just glad it wasn't the litter since I want to keep using that.
I do believe she is now appreciative because there was no way she was going to clean that off herself. She even lets me touch the paw and get between the toes.
So there is my poo story for the day!
I hope you are all ready for the holiday and that you have a wonderful Christmas.
