Yesterday's Loose Lips w/videos

Hope you get to sleep soundly tonight!

Unfortunately, I did  Which is not normal. Sometime during the night Emma got off the bed and went off to hide. I found her in a box this morning. She wouldn't eat breakfast at all. I tried raw, canned, and pouched and she refused all of it :o No lip smacking which would indicate nausea or gagging. She's kind of lethargic, too. She moves slooowly and just wants to lie down. Leroy is back to being a busy-body but he still needed a little bribe to finish his food. No idea if the FRVCP and/or rabies vaccination is affecting Emma or if she has ileus again :? Dr. B did note stool in her colon yesterday but she hadn't yet pooped for the day so I wasn't worried. Now I am nailbite_smile I left canned food for Emma in the timed feeder this morning. Hopefully she'll eat it before Leroy does. I think Dr. B is in today. I'll give him a call in a few hours. If Dr. B is in and wants to see Emma, I can have Mom bring her in. I'm at TBP and am in for a full day of work :?

Re: 12-23 Loose Lips - Vines needed

So sorry Emma is not feeling well. It is good your mom is available to bring her in to the vet. I will definitely be sending out healing vines and prayers for Emma today.

Re: 12-23 Loose Lips - Vines needed

I'm keeping you and Emma in my thoughts today. I hope she feels better soon and this proves to be no big deal. But getting her to the vet sounds like a good idea. Even if she is fine, it will relieve your worries.

Re: 12-23 Loose Lips - Vines needed

I'm sending healing vines and snowflakes. You have a good eye on Emma and she might be just having an off day. Glad you are contacting Dr B before the weekend gets here. May Emma and Leroy have a purry day and all be well. :YMHUG:

Re: 12-23 Loose Lips - Vines needed

Sending out vines for your sweet Emma. Sometimes the vaccinations can make them feel off for a day or so. Hope she's okay.

Re: 12-23 Loose Lips - Vines needed

Lots of healing snowflakes from Flagstaff and we have lots of snowflakes here. Good plan to get to the vet, and paws crossed, if it's nothing you will have peace of mind for the holiday weekend. :YMHUG:

Re: 12-23 Loose Lips - Vines needed

My cats have felt sick like for about 24 hours after vaccinations. I hope Emma is feeling better real soon.
Sending feel back to normal vines to Emma.

Re: 12-23 Loose Lips - Vines needed

Thanks everyone

Dr. B is in today :RAHCAT He's doing morning rounds right now. I just left a message with his vet tech. She's going to check in with Dr. B and call me back.

Have to get started on project here on TBP (over an hour behind :YMSIGH: ) but will update LL as soon as I can.

Re: 12-23 Loose Lips - Vines needed

sorry to hear this...
sending vines to Emma (and her sweet little kitty belly)
and hoping that it nothing more than a reaction to the vaccine.

Re: 12-23 Loose Lips - Vines needed

i'm so far behind and did not know your little kids were sick. hoping they get to feeling better real soon.

i have a sick one of my own right now and boy does it come out of the blue doesn't it. fine one day, won't eat and lethargic the next. when i took him to the vet yesterday morning we really thought there was a chance he would not be coming home again but so far so good. now if only he would start eating again too

here's to eating vibes all around fdmb!

Re: 12-23 Loose Lips - Vines needed

Sending vines for Emma, i hope it is jsut a reaction form the vac and passes soon.

Update

Dr. B says just a reaction to the vaccines. Vaccines can be taxing on the immune system and a cat may feel icky afterwards. Emma should recover soon. I hope she will eat something tonight nailbite_smile I don't want her to get HL nailbite_smile Might have to syringe feed her soupy canned food if need be. Dr. B is in tomorrow if Emma still won't eat or starts vomiting.

I love good news. Hope food starts tasting good soon!

I hope so too nailbite_smile Heading home soon :-D Fingers crossed that the eat vines will work

Emma is feeling much better flip_cat She felt well enough to leave a trail of poop on the floor ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile What a mess @-) It was a brown streak from the bathroom across the hallway, a clump on the rug, a couple more streaks, and another clump @-) I'm sure Leroy helped spread the mess  I cleaned up the mess and gave the bathroom a good mopping.

Everyone's eat vines worked  Emma ate her dinner just fine :thumbup She wasn't interested in playing afterwards but that's ok.

I'm a little late but still sending more healing vines for Emma.

If Emma and Leroy get more than one type of vaccine, it is much better to spread them out over several weeks instead of giving them all at once. They'll do much better ....you can see how it did overtax her little system.

Hope she is all back to normal tonight!!
