Yesterday's Condo

It's official. The kitties are not amused. They are shut up in my study with their litter boxes and some toys. Gizmo clearly is very curious about what's going on and despite being a bit apprehensive at first, now wants to investigate. Gabbys's initial response to the painters was to hide under my bed then come hang out with me in the living room. On top of the chaos caused by the painters disrupting everyone's routine, my Mac decided to have a meltdown. I'm in the process of restoring my hard drive. So, for the next 6 hours, I don't have my laptop. I'm more than a little frustrated. (Yes, I know, I'm way too computer dependent.)

Looks like Gabby is determined to be a sunny yellow today!!

Nothing sets me into a panic more than a computer breakdown!! I'm completely dependent on it for my income and I have no idea how to fix ANY problem that arises!! At least you sound like you know what you're doing. Good luck with the painters and your computer!!

Gabby and Gizmo have an iPad complete with kitty games. (I got the iPad when my files from my other laptop were being transferred to the Mac and I couldn't go cold turkey for a day.)

Gabby was stressed out by the painters. She was glued to my side all afternoon and is crashed at the foot of my bed.

I probably spent 3 hours on the phone with a senior tech analyst at Apple. What a wonderful guy. This is compared with the 5 people I spoke with at Microsoft (because Office for Mac is not working properly) who left me screaming and to whom I finally said that their tech support (ad the $259 whey wanted to charge up front) was the reason I would never buy another piece of electronics with a Microsoft operating system again. Apple cost nothing and the tech was skilled and explained everything in terms I could easily understand.

Sorry that you had a rough day Gabby, I hope you are feeling better tonight I totally hear you on the loss of computer Sienne, it drives me nuts to be without internet...glad you got it all fixed I hope you're all having a nice relaxing evening!
