Happy Caturday-Before-Xmas!
All through the house, the only creatures stirring are: Ripley, eating her b'fast, and the civie cat, trying to eat Ripley's b'fast. I tried putting civie in a different room w/door closed, but she meowed until my DH woke up rather grumpily. So now I'm back to helping Ripley defend her food (because, unfortunately, Ripley isn't very good at defending, well, anything. She's my peacekeeperkitty :YMPEACE: ).
MMMMMM! I just enjoyed a cup of Mannie's pepperminty coffee concoction! Deeelish!
Time to start xmas baking! Enjoy your day, all!
~Josie
ETA:
I've noticed that when Ripley's BG drops quickly, there are noticeable changes in behaviors; I was just wondering if: 1 )I should be concerned, and 2)is there a term for this? (I've been thinking of it as "crashing.").
Typical post-dose behavior: She finishes her meal, drinks some water, then curls up on her rocking chair and sleeps.
Sometimes (such as now): same as above, then instead of sleeping, she walks around the house, seems to be looking for someplace comfy; she'll lie down for a few mins, get up, find a different spot, and so on. And rather than curling up in a cat-ball, she lies in a 1/2 moon shape. She doesn't sleep; eyes are open, gazing, sometimes with her head hanging over the edge of couch cushion.
It's probably her system responding to the insulin? Do any other sugarcats do this?
Thank you ~Josie
