So much excellent information/input to read on this Pumbaa thread from 12/17: http://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=85231
So, today, Pumbaa is still coming down from a bounce, after having excellent numbers at his 3.0U dose, and really, truly earning a reduction to 2.75U. (A reduction that Carl called for after 12/10, which I ignored and went ahead and increased the dose instead).
I'm going to be very patient about letting thise bounce clear, before I consider this dose reduction to be a failure. See the above quoted thread for information on how to determine if a reduction has failed.
I'm also dealing with Pumbaa being in full-fledged juvenile delinquent mode, and running/hiding from me during testing time, because he considers this to be a game! but  at the same time! He's such a little stinker, but I am so happy to see him being his normal self! But...I'm also trying to work (yes, even this weekend), finish Christmas shopping for my mom, shop for Christmas dinner foods, wrap mom's presents, plan a trip to the cemetery to visit my dad, deal with my mom's cats who keep barfing night and day (and clean the barf out of her white carpets), and talk to too many of my friends who have family members in the hospital right now (who may not be home for Christmas), and inviting those friends in the area to come here for a Christmas dinner, etc.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and a New Year with nothing but excellent numbers for your cats, and good health, happiness and prosperity for you all!
