Cosmo had his ultrasound this morning. We were asked to fast for 8 hrs pre procedure, but we gave him 1/2 his regular meal at AMPS and full dose after speaking with the vet in the am. We gave 1ml of gabapentin a few hrs before his procedure. He was a bit groggy from it, but not bad.
The vet said that she is going to have the full report analysis tomorrow, but that from what she saw, no cysts or tumours were seen (yay!), his pancreas looked pretty good and some senior organs, but again, she said the full report will be in tomorrow. She doesn’t seem convinced that he has pancreatitis, so no antibiotics or meds yet.
I’m not sure what else could return a high Spec fPL test? Has anyone seen this before? Any other conditions that might cause that?
Cosmo came home in the early afternoon and is still a bit sleepy, good appetite and even a blue +6

So...good news so far!

Surf safely, Cosmo. Hope you had a good day, Tanya!
. So glad Cosmo is home and yay for good news! I'm very curious about the spec fPL result vs his pancreas looking pretty good. FWIW, Butters' spec fPL was a 9 and her u/s showed only a mild inflammation of the pancreas.
