Got most of my Christmas shopping done today, but I completely forgot to get my dad and step mom gifts. At least I won't be seeing them until the 27th. I'm a bit nervous since I'll be spending the night, but I'm sure my grandpa will be able to handle it. If her dosage lands on a .25, .5, or .75 before I leave, I think it'd be safe to round down to make it easier for him, right? I know his eyesight isn't the best, so it'd probably be easier on him and make sure Tip stays safe. I trust he'll do a good job, I'm just always worried now when I have to leave.

And I'm thinking I'll need to increase again, but I'm not sure by how much anymore. I'm really not liking the dosage, so soon as the holidays are over(since the regular vet won't be in) I'll finally get the tests done, money for it in my account or not, because I've been discussing it with my grandpa and he should be able to help get her tested.

Re: 12/21-Tip-AMPS-366 +6-359 PMPS-327 +2-326 Dose?

Cindy --

I'd give serious consideration to raising Tip's dose to 8.0u. At this point, raising the dose by 0.25u is going to have minimal effect on the depot. Once a cat is at a larger dose of insulin, you need to increase by larger amounts since the depot is so big.

I don't like it, but I know it's better to get Tip back in to good numbers, so I'm willing to try it. Feels like every time we take a step forward we take another step back. It's a bit discouraging, but I really want Tip feeling better.
