AMPS 61 :D:D:D:D shooting .1u
I was certainly happy to see that 61 and it certainly seems that his AMPS is lower when he doesn't eat his +6 so the +6 must be stopping the insulin from working. During the day he is hungry for his +6 though so I can't eliminate it. I've tried giving him a +6 snack instead of a meal but that doesn't seem to help the BG.
Of course now that he's reached the low 60s he'll likely have a wee bounce so that's not going to help either:rolleyes:
On today's menu, H&G chicken mixed with a wee bit of PB surf&turf for better flavour:rolleyes:

On the agenda for this Bean today: lunch with a friend. And I'm hoping for a snowy owl hunt this afternoon after lunch. Depends on what Boomer decides to do today.

Yesterday's cake smash/tub session was a success! I've photographed this 1 year old 3 times within the last 4 months and he's such a happy child! Picture attached. Studio has been torn down and hopefully I won't have reason to set up again until the new year.

he is so cute love that smile!!! would he eat that meal is you slid it back to +5?? i do lincoln at AS, +2, +5, +9.... i tried doing all before +4 but we was just too hungry but +5 seems to have worked for him... just a thought... i hope you have great lunch and successful owl hunt... keep up the great numbers Boomer :bighug::bighug:

I may start grabbing some daytime +9 tests to see if I can figure out if it's the +6 or +9 meal (or neither) that is doing the damage.
 
What a cute picture! And you can tell that he had a great time!

...and good luck with the hunt for a snowy owl. I am taking my pups back to the woods today too to see what kind of wildlife we can find.
 
Tested at +5.5, 79:D:D:D
Then spent the next 90 minutes driving around the places where we (or others) have spotted snowy owls before. Saw nothing. :arghh:

No apparently not. With wildlife photography its all about being in the right place at the right time, and trying to put yourself in that right place at the right time! And every one I have found, with one exception, was sitting in the middle of a snowy field. They're very difficult to see. Oh well, maybe next time.

Of course since we left home at +5.5 I don't know when Boomer would have eaten his +6. I did crush a treat on it before I went out so hopefully he ate it right away.
He's been going up all day but I think I gave a light .1 this morning; the darn syringes have top lines that are not level so it's difficult to micro dose.

Judy - if you get the chance, see a movie that is out now called "the Eagle Huntress" - it is a documentary set in Mongolia about a little girl and her golden eagle - the cinematography is breathtaking and the story is heartfelt and uplifting I just happened to see it and seeing as you are a photographer and like birds of prey, I think you would enjoy it as well

Cute little boy.....looks like he's having a blast with that cake too!! How long did it take to clean him up? ;)
