Since we have no idea what cats think, maybe he's scared he doesn't have a furever home, seeing other cats come and go. You've only had him a couple months, there's no way of knowing what's going on inside that little cat brain.
I know the 2-3 times Lucian has peed on my bathroom rugs, it was because his LB wasn't cleaned soon enough. :lol: He is a stickler about his box. Funny thing though, if the rugs aren't there, he'll use the LB, dirty or not. Since I only have one LB for the 3 of them, I have to keep up on it. I don't have room for more. I know that's not your issue.
When I was a kid, we had a cat that would mess in my parents bed and always right after mom put on clean linens. He also did it in dad's slippers. Needless to say, after a few times, they got rid of him. No idea what caused it, our cats went outside. I think they got rid of him, when dad tried to put his slippers on once. :lol: That's pretty nasty. :lol:
