Good Morning, Everyone,
Rusty is still up in yellow this morning. He soared after we brought in the Xmas tree. The reality of The Holidays has hit, and he knows that his routine will be disrupted. Anyway, he had a good test, shot, breakfast, lung treat, schmooze, and has been chillaxin' on his perch above the radiator. He avoids the Xmas tree like the plague!
It's a dark day and it is raining. We are expecting a "winter mix" of rain, freezing rain, sleet, and snow all weekend. Parts of the region are anticipating an ice storm (hopefully we won't get one). The climb of Mt. Baker on Sunday may be postponed. I have spent the morning making a dish for the potluck Xmas party tonight (Chicken Paprikaś, a recipe from "The Impoverished Student's Guide to Cookery, Drinkery, and Housekeepery"). I also baked another batch of the orange shortbread (I now have the proper size pan). This afternoon we will put the lights on the tree (tomorrow, the ornaments). Friends from down near Camp Stu are dropping in here on their way to the party. I hope the roads aren't too bad.
