Hi Everybody,
We are late today because I had to leave the house very early in order to get to the starting point of the hike to Indian Falls in the High Peaks. Rusty seems to have come down gradually all day. His AMPS was surely a bounce from his bedtime test last night (69 at +4). Edward watched him today and made sure he ate his food. The boys did a good job. Rusty slept most of the day.
The hike was fairly long (about 8 miles with 1800 feet of elevation gain) and very icy. There was not much snow at the start, but as we got higher there was more and more. The Ranger said we didn't have to wear our snowshoes (in full winter, skis or snowshoes are required on the trails). We wore our microspikes the whole time. Thank goodness, because there was ice everywhere and the trails were mostly icy boulders and frozen streams. Lunch was at the top of the falls, where there is usually a spectacular view of some of the High Peaks. But today the clouds hid the mountains except for one magical moment.
Hope all is well in LL. Off to visit some condos (if I can stay awake!)
