Here's Caturday's goings-on...

Sooty's fine this morning, he's still behaving much more normally (seemingly, never mind the BG #s) - his food intake was just ~7.5oz yesterday, which seems to us, like almost nothing, after being used to >20oz per day! He's also been looking to (and asking to!) go outside, a place he has't been (nor even been interested in), since he was so very sick at the end of November... (but we're having to tell him no, esp. with the coyotes still hanging around here...!) LB action is still fIne and he's doing SO much better about his hygiene (stil covering things up nicely! makes cleanup much less pongy and icky!!!).

So overall, he's definitely making some REAL progress as regards 'WCR things' and so maybe, who knows, the BGs will be the last thing to change. That's OK then - we have the ammunition (in the fridge!) and are not afraid to use it!! (This AM was cycle 3 at 16.0u !!) Mind you, (must not jinx ourselves!) but his AMPS today was a nice surprise!

And that's exactly how it goes... it is the cat who knows how things are going.

When you see the appetite drop to near normal, and the old habits start to return, you know that you are looking at a pretty content cat.

I am sure that Sooty's settled in nicely with everything, so you best be ready for the day when you test and get a blue... and you look at Sooty and say well done!

Have a great day and maybe see if Sooty would go outside on a harness. I am going to spend some times over the next week or so to get Ollie to go for walks... maybe Sooty won't mind going for walks if it gets him out in the fresh air and safe from the wild animals.

GREAT report and how wonderful to hear that Sooty is getting back to his baseline. Something Gayle said a while ago bears keeping in mind. For acro kitties, yellow is the new blue!

Sienne, Tena, Celi - what can I say - thank you for such very nice visits!! Thanks for all the good vibes!
Funny about him suddenly wanting to go outside again (he's always been an outdoor cat, in case you didn't know, until just recently) but we just lit up the BBQ, on the deck out back, to grill a couple of pork chops and Sooty was going crazy wanting to go outside... we haven't seen him like this for, oh we don't know how long!
Must be a good sign!! We'll have to think about trying a harness or something, maybe, we hate to keep him in - but after all, it's for his own good (except he doesn't seem to agree with us on that!)

Its so nice to hear how well Sooty is feeling. The numbers aren't everything! Can you supervise him outside or do you think he'd take off? I haven't had good luck with a harness for any of my cats, but I know some cats do great. I like Celi's idea too.
