12/18 Wesson AMPS HI

We had the Freestlyle Libre 2 put on yesterday. Wesson did great, wasn't bothered at all by it. So my vet had us lower his dose to 1U a few days ago thinking maybe he was going too low at night causing the high numbers during the day. Have 1 day of data with the sensor and the lowest number we got was 380 at +9 after the AM shot. Everything thing else has been HI (over 400).

So, do I move him back to 1.5U today since he is not going low at any point?

I would go back to 1.5 units. Since you have the Libre on, you can see if he's going low on that dose, or whether it's not enough insulin. Those "Hi"s need to go!

How long do you think it will be until I see some movement to his number after upping the dose? Still HI since this morning.

Hopefully by tomorrow. The 1.5 unit depot has to build and there can be some temporary higher numbers after an increase, which we call New Dose Wonkiness or NDW.

Looks like he is feeling good and he's acting normally.
