good morning kitties and their humans :)

We have our very first yellow AMPS with 295 this morning.

Go Pip!

I'm off to school I left him food and I got the camera on him.

Exam this afternoon so hopefully I'm home earlier because it never takes me the full 3 hours.

Fun fact Pip is named after Pippin or Peregrine Took, the hobbit from LOTR... I am a nerd hahaha

I have no idea how I failed to clock that name, but it's a great one for a cat. (Though I'd be hard-pressed to avoid doing the whole "FOOL of a TOOK" bit all the time until any human company wanted to stuff me down a well.) A hobbit name bodes well for resilience! No wonder Pip is so full of Pipness.

Haha around my house we say we are fools for a Took :)
 
exam went well...

Pip is kinda stuck in the pink and yellows ever since he had some greens 3 and 5 days ago...
It seems like a long time for a bounce?

I hope he comes back down soon!
 
It's hard to know for sure. I know another that just changed her kitty's insulin dose and it is nowhere on the 3rd day show started setting blues for the first time in a while from the usual greens. She was edging hypo numbers, so went down a tad. But they went back to green. Every cat is different.
Then against, Pip a higher dose to get those numbers to what you want to set every day. There's guidelines, but no set path that works for every cat.
My little guy took till he was so 3.75 before his numbers started moving. And it's not like he's a big cat at 9lbs. I know he's a rarity, how he went. But I felt like giving up every day. All blacks and reds.
I'm sure the pros can give your increasing info, but just wanted to say that. Don't give up and hang in there. 💕
