Happy Caturday! Johnny is currently laying in a cat bed on top of a box in the hallway. Why is this significant? This would be the second time that our cats have claimed beds that were put aside to give away because LITERALLY nobody ever went in them (over a period of a few years even)! This bed has been moved from room to room and most recently was on top of a chest in our room. When you put someone in it, it was like you set them on a trampoline, BOING! and then run out of the room! Last weekend, I got some stuff together for Goodwill and I put the cat bed on top. Voila! It's all the rage this week. Everyone has been taking long turns enjoying it. :roll: :-D

Johnny spent most of the days in the yellows, which we didn't expect. This was his third dose of .50u.

39 @ +3. We're feeding some LC. Can we control this with LC or should we give some MC or higher? We're home to monitor. He'll usually eat when offered food, so not worried about him not eating the LC. Test again in 15.

Insight on the big drop tonight versus a very yellow day on the same dose? We didn't move shot time or anything. Maybe shed-related.

The experts will suggest MC or HC since you are at +3 & to test again in 15mins to make sure he is rising.

Okay, we gave some beef gravy (3/4 tsp) on top of the LC. We'll test 15 from serving (10:50 CT). He's licking his chops.

licking his chops lol, that is one of the nice things about low #s, we can give good gravy & tempting treats :mrgreen:

58 - More LC/gravy? Or just LC? Johnny seems really sleepy, though it could be because he is just really sleepy. But he's purring like a V8 and being sweet and looking around for more gravy.

Yes, just about +3.5 (minus 5 min). He's getting some more LC now and we'll retest in 30 min (11:30 CT). Thanks, guys.

I'm wondering if Johnny's numbers from the past few days make any sense to the dosers or other experts? Are there some bounces involved that made these last few cycles so wonky? I don't regret stepping up to the .50u at all. I'm wondering what we should plan for tomorrow a.m.? I feel like a dosecrease down might be losing traction, but if it's the safest route that's what we'll do. We'll be home to test and bump up numbers. (in short, I don't know all that much about what I'm talking about and looking for advice, lol)

In case it matters, Brian's off classes until Jan. 3 and we'll spend some time (Dec 23-28 or 29) with my family in Pennsylvania for Christmas. Don't worry, no basement for Johnny...when I told my mom what my in-laws said, she said "Tell them we let Johnny Cat sleep in our bed when he visits!" Which he doesn't, but the door's open if he wanted to...and, of course, I didn't tell the in-laws. It would have been priceless though.

In hindsight, I think it was a mistake for me to suggest an increase when I did. Johnny probably was in a bounce and might have come down on his own anyway. I would go back down to the fat 0.25 tomorrow, unless he has bounced to the moon.

We'll test again at +5 (40 minutes from now). I think he probably is surfing. Paws crossed!

Thanks for the thoughts on dose, Libby. I'm not convinced it was a bounce, but either way, you knew we were on top of monitoring. And it did seem to wake up Mr. P a little. We'll return to the fat .25 tomorrow barring a 'bounce to the moon' -- lol (the scared kind of laughing!). Thanks for everything!
