Why did he get convenia? An infection would likely raise his bg. If he didn’t have an infection I am not sure why he got the shot. Any teeth pulled? That also might be why the injection.

No infection at all

Vet did a visual on his gums and stated they look good.

Now Henry had a small red line above the gum line and the vet stated that was an irritation.

You have to consider these Vets deal with small town America and I believe this vet gives this shot as a fix all (Just a Guess)

Now when I made the appointment (This coming Tuesday) for his Dental Cleaning they stated he would get a shot (Convenia) as a protocol for the Dental Cleaning coming up this Tuesday

The Vet wanted to see Henry in advance of the cleaning

So Henry was getting this shot no matter what
