12/18 Charlie - on my return flight

Well I am currently on my return flight, 2hrs and 33 till I land at LAX, then a 60min drive home.
I can't wait to see my charlie, and also my other cats.
I was a major wreak initially dropping off charlie, the first night all the possible fears were running threw my head, but it seemed to fade once I started getting my preshot #s and his +4's. I did have them change around his food since he was a bit high which brought his pm +4 down to 190, he must have gone a lot low as his amps this morning was high 400's.
As my first time letting someone else care for him, I would say it went well for my nerves and will not hesitate boarding him at the same facility again, they sent the #'s ranging from 10 to 20 min after test time, and also responded to my texts back to them.
I had them do a predental bw while he way staying there, I will probably schedule his dental on this Tues or the following Tues.
 
I just wish they did not charge me $15/BG test it cost me an extra $60/day, but if that's what it was going to take for me to know he was safe so be it, although I think that is outrageous.
 
yeah, that is pretty high. Did they use your strips and meter too? But at least you have the reassurance that he was safe - and that is worth a lot.

welcome home. was your dad surprised appropriately? did you have a good visit?

Glad to read that everything is o.k. with Charlie and that the boarding place was good too.

Yes on the meter and strips, and my dad was super, super surprised, when I called to tell him that the tracking said the package was going to be delivered soon I ask him what he was doing so u knew where he was in the house, usually he is at the computer desk which can see the driveway, he said he was at the kitchen table playing cribbage with his friend, so I pulled in to the drive way and quietly came in the front door, I peaked in to kitchen, his back was to me, my step mom had just came in to the kitchen from the back door so I had to do the finger over the lips to her and my dads friend, I tip toed to a chair that was next and bit behind him and sat down and said "special delivery" I wish I would have had my step mom record it.
