Good Friday Morning, Everyone,,

16 warm degrees this morning. We've had a bit more snow and may go x-country skiing or snowshoeing this afternoon (forget about the cookies, the Xmas cards, the shopping!)

Rusty woke us an hour early this morning: head butts, happy squirming, walking all over us, obviously wanting his breakfast (he ate all of the food left for him last night, but because he had upchucked the Cowboy Cookout after dinner and then didn't eat anything else all evening until bedtime, he must have been super hungry by this morning). He's a happy camper this morning. Pretty good test (2 pokes), good shot (I think), breakfast (Wellness Chicken) eaten and a 2nd installment set out. Then we had a rousing game with Big Bug. This is one talented kitty. His stalking skills are remarkable. Then I came upstairs to do Rusty's report, but was summoned downstairs for another game with Big Bug.

it is snowing here since yesterday.....don't even wanna look at the temp tough :sad: it's in the minus double digits though....brrrrr

Nice morning for Rusty and Ella, and nice numbers for Rusty. Ella, sounds like Rusty is a wonderful cat. I'm so happy he is bringing joy into your lives!
So, what's this about xcountry skiing and snowshoeing???? Girl, you have really got some energy! You guys keep busy all year round! I pick hybernating as my activity of choice during the winter. Gosh, I just hate being cold! Whatever you do, I hope you have an enjoyable day!

YAY! Another fantastic day in RustyLand. It warms my heart to know he is doing so well, and is so happy there. What a treat to have a kitty that likes to play as much as he does. He may have to come and teach Mannie the art of playing. :lol:

WOW - busy day for you guys. I am with you - forget the holiday cards, and the shopping and the baking - strap on those snowshoes or those skis and head on out. What an awesome way to spend a nice winter day. more snow, sun too (?) - yes!!

Hey Rusty! I am so excited! I love planning parties and cookouts and stuff. This one will be very very cool. And at camp Stu - I know it will be your first time there - I know you will love it. Stu and I used to hangout there all the time. See you soon for KTSS duty today - off to Buttheads! ~~ Mannie

I haven't been cross country skiing in so long, enjoy your outing if you manage to get out.

Rusty sure sounds like an energetic boy. Hope all of you enjoy your day.

Hi again, Everyone,

The afternoon in the snow was beautiful, but there could have been a bit more snow! (We were at the Olympic training center east of Lake Placid. All the heavy snow is in the snow-belt, west of us.) We skied for about 2 hours. That was enough for the first time out (and Edward is basically a beginner). Lovely sunshine and not too warm.

Rusty was waiting for us when we got home in the mid afternoon. He then enjoyed a +9 snack and "helped" me with the laundry (he got to go down into the cellar with me). He's had his test and his shot and some dinner and has settled down on his perch for the evening.

Everyone have a good evening and a good start to the weekend. Vines and snowflakes being sent to all the kitties who are not feeling well.

Rusty sounds like a very happy boy. I do suspect he wouldn't mind being outside with you, given he's a fluffy cat (and not in the overweight meaning of fluffy). It was a great WCR along with great numbers.

ahhhh - is there nothing that you don't do? I am impressed! Cross country skiing too? I always thought that would be so fun - I just never got around to giving it a shot. SOunds like it was a great afternoon - YAY!

I love kitty helpers - always so fun.

Gosh, ella...i'm so very sorry that things aren't working out for you with Rusty...
i had such great hopes that he would settle in and you guys could love him... :lol:

it's so uplifting to see how well things are going there!

I said before that Rusty won the lottery...but it sounds like you and Edward got a pretty dang good prize too!

Always such a happy condo to visit. Glad you got out in the snow. Be careful, no falls. Nice WCR and numbers for the "special" boy today. Great that you have all adjusted so well.

So so heartwarming to hear how great things are going for you all. Thanks Ells for visiting our condo today, and Muffin is so looking forward to a holiday party at Camp Stu. She wouldn't miss it for the world!
