Not much progress. He's a little cranky today.

I'm concerned about constipation, he hasn't gone since Friday night (12/14). He's peeing once a day at night. I did see him drink a good amount of water this morning, so I'm hoping that will help. Should I take more action, like try to get him some pumpkin or miralax? I doubt I can get him to eat pumpkin, is the miralax something I can squirt into his mouth?
 
When I add pumpkin, I put a teeny bit in Rex's food and he doesn't notice. I'm not sure about Miralax.

I just looked at Hogan's SS. No tests after PMPS last night? We always encourage one more test before bed. Most cats like to go lower at night compared to during the day.
 
I will test tonight, maybe I should shoot for staying up for a +2 PMPS instead of trying to wake up for a +3.

I will try the Miralax, I think I have some oral syringes on hand. Thanks!
 
I added the laxative with extra water right into the food. Constipation can raise the numbers. I hope Hogan goes soon.
 
Success finally in the litterbox. After being pretty lethargic and not eating very much, I tried tempting him with a cooked shrimp, which he loved. I wasn't sure if he going to be able to keep it down, but he did! So I gave him some more and that seemed to perk him up and he used the litterbox. He seemed much happier after :)

I think he just doesn't like his new food. I'll keep trying to mix in some low carb treats, like the shrimp. He also loves and can tolerate raw ahi tuna, but I try not to give him too much because of the mercury.
