Here's yesterday's condo...

Today: AMPS 304 +2 282 +4 247 +6 256 PMPS 273 +3 271 +11 204 (WOW Where did THAT come from!)

Last night was a trip - took me over 2 hours to get home (18 miles), Atlanta area sure doesn't handle freezing temps too well! Ice all over the place, driving was very dangerous... but we're back up in the 40s this morning so we should be OK today (fingers crossed!)

Sooty is behaving VERY differently the last 2 days - he only ate 10 oz of food yesterday. It's almost as if his appetite is returning to normal. Or is he just not well? He seems fine, purring, sleeping better (more)... all Ps working (except playing!) and yet, his BG #s are still right up there as ever in the mid 200s, or even a bit higher than usual. He sure likes to set us some puzzles...

Anyhow it's onward and upward with the Levemir: after 6 cycles at 14u and still no progress, it's up again today, to 15.0u...

Appetite decrease can be a very good sign ... Sooty may be getting close to his good dose!
I recall when Ollie stopped eating so much .. I was like OH NO! He's sick! but when I stopped and paid closer attention, he was just eating less than 30oz a day and like that's a bad thing? He is eating about half that now, so just watch to see 'how' Sooty is eating ... is he eating fine but just not eating all the food? Is he acting like he's hungry but the food bothers him? Is he eating, stopping, eating, then just going away?
I got used to just plopping down 6 or 8oz several times a day, and everything was eaten, so when they walked away from bowls and there was still food left, I worried.
Shadoe's back to bird like nibbling, and Oliver eats decent smaller 4oz meals.
I bet Sooty's getting close and feeling a whole lot better about it too!

You could start watching his numbers now for wee improvements and get ready to start microdosing!
Dose changes like .25u, here we come!

I sure hope so Gayle!!! Wouldn't THAT be something!!
I wonder if the insulin gets to the hypothalamus before it gets to the rest of the body, maybe his brain finally realizes that he isn't actually going hungry???
eta: I would say he's eating OK, just eating less, Yes he's just not eating all the food. Not acting hungry.

Hope you are getting close to that right dose for Sooty everything is ice covered here in Ky as well big mess

Let's all hope that this means Sooty is getting closer to his "good" dose. Good luck with the dosecrease.

I know this is very wrong of me on many levels but I couldn't help thinking that yes, everything would be pretty slippery, if everything was covered in KY !!

I shall apoligize in advance for my complete lack of good taste and I hope I will not be banished from FDMB. :oops: !!

Sending positive thoughts this is the right dose or close to it. Have a good day. We had ice on some palm trees here in FL. That is unique.
