12/16 Mowgli AMPS 137

Hard to believe my last post was Canadian Thanksgiving! I’ve really fallen off the wagon. Mowgli has been doing well. He’s between 0.5 and 0.75units these days and mostly green and blue. He’s still spry and playful and in good shape.

Today Mowgli is at the vet for a day surgery to get a cyst removed from his lower eyelid. The vet said that normally something like this she wouldn’t bother with but since it’s quite pigmented and located in his head that she thought a cautious approach was warranted while the cyst was still small. Fingers crossed that the surgery goes well and that the biopsy from the lump comes back as benign. Poor boy... this is his 3rd day surgery in one year. Such a sin.

Other than that Mowgli is enjoying all the Christmas decor. He is currently obsessed with being under the Christmas tree. I had to make a path for him so her wouldn’t ruin all my Christmas wrapping!

Poor boy mowgli got home. The cone they put on his head is huge and he can hardly reach his food with it. I called the vet and she said as long as I can watch him I can take his cone of for meals and when I am with him. I might get his playpen out so I can keep his cone off and keep him close by.

I asked the vet about the inflatable style of collar but she said that because it’s his eye it won’t work because he ca still rub his face against things (he does this a lot)

for now he’s just relaxing on the floor staring out at nothing ... I think he’s still out of it from the anesthesia

he has to wear the collar for 10 days!! I didn’t expect such a lengthy recovery time. Poor little melly moo

Poor guy ! Such a sweet man! LOVE the Christmas pictures !

Prayers that the cyst is benign & that it heals quickly for him. Last January we biopsied a lipoma on T & had the same situation with the dreaded cone. Taking it off and watching him worked well. I hope it goes smoothly and the days go by quickly.
