Morning ~O) ~O) Maggie pie has had the same AMPS the last three mornings. This might be strange that she's not moving at the +4 except when I was shooting, Mags jerked. I didn't smell any insulin, but I have a feeling it went into the fur. I even fattened the drop hoping to bring her down into nice blues. I don't have the best apartment refrigerator. I wonder if the insulin is too cold, it may not be effective. I keep second guessing myself here, it seems. Discouraging.
Sending vines and prayers to all kitties needing them and their Beans.

Oh Maggie! What are you doing so high? It could be that she's a cat. :lol: I know you are second guessing everything you do. I hope she comes down for you. Have a wonderful day Ann!

Hi Ann you might want to get a thermometer for your frig its what I did when Do Lou started on lantus long time ago to make sure my frig was keeping it at the right temp... they are pretty cheap to get

I'm certain I must have shot into the fur with this +6 - bummer! She did a good jerk, so maybe it hurt.

Lisa, thanks I'll pick one up. I should know this, but does anyone know what temp. the Lantus should be kept at on the top of your head!

Yes, I love the "she's a cat" rationale. Sienne shared that with us when we first started here and we say it often! Maggie's numbers aren't terrible, so I hope she gets with the program and comes down more soon. Don't let Ms Mags hang with Mr Zener, he encourages bad habits and high numbers! :roll:

Has anyone seen that pretty little blue kitty, Maggie? She was here a few days ago... Maggie, is that you!?! Yellow??? Uh, yeah, that new do looks fine on you. (snicker) Oh yes, not garish at all! (snicker)

In-use and unopened Lantus and Levemir should be stored in the refrigerator between 36 to 46 degrees F (2 to 8 degrees C).
Be careful your refrigerator is not so cold that the insulin freezes. Do NOT use Lantus or Levemir if it has been frozen.

Thanks a bunch, Lisa & Do Lou, for the info on the temp. of Lantus. Wouldn't you know I forget to pick a thermometer up! I had a mental note, but not a written one. I'll get one tomorrow if not a little later.

Hi Linda, :lol: that little blue kitty has beem missing. If I didn't know better, I'd think she got into some potato chips, her favorite people food.

Good idea on the thermometer. I keep the insulin in one of the drawers (where I keep cheeses) with the thermometer. I did get panicky one day when the frig was full of warm foods and the temp went up above
the 46 degrees but not much and it wasn't there long.

Sure hope Miss Maggie comes down for you. Good luck with the extra drop.

Thanks Marje. That is a good idea of keeping the thermometer in one of the frig drawers with the thermometer. I think Mags will come down a little tonight (or still afternoon here).

Hi Melissa, it looks like Maggie does not want to leave the yellows. She's just inching down and remaining flat. I like the idea of a second glass of wine. :-D I guess I'm done testing. I know I got a fat drop in her. I'll give this another day and then up to two drops. Thanks for checkin on us.
