Yesterday's meteor party (more meteor's tonight too!)

Been another fine day in Chinaland!! :D:D:D:D:D

So happy to have my little green kitty back.....and that she's eating the new food too! (although I think the "new" is wearing off...or she's becoming suspicious about the phosphorus binder I'm mixing into it)

A little Fortiflora helps a lot though! I swear she'd eat sawdust if I sprinkled it with Fortiflora!! Just wish it wasn't so expensive!!

Have a very sore shoulder from the steroid shot the other day....they must have nicked a blood vessel or something because I have a heck of a bruise on top of the pain already in the shoulder in the first place.

Guess I'm going to have to figure out when it would be convenient? to have surgery sooner rather than later. I'm getting old and falling apart at the seams!

Hope you're all having a good Sunday and your kitties are feeling grand!!

Those are some beautiful numbers, China!
Watch that bruise...if you have some arnica gel, it'll help with the bruise. Feel better, and o hope the shot helps.

What kind of surgery would they need to do Chris?

Well first, he knows there are some bone spurs and arthritis that need to be cleaned up....that would be the best case scenario but he's pretty darn sure there's at least some damage to the bicep tendon that would need to be repaired too. If the tendon is involved, it's a longer recovery with more restrictions (and a sling for awhile)…...then the worst case is that the rotator cuff is also involved which means being in an immobilizer for several weeks and a lot more physical therapy.

He won't know for 100% until he gets in there and see's what's going on.

Here's hoping that it won't be worst case. I don't know how you would cope with testing and injections in an immobilizer, even so with any shoulder surgery. Is there anyone there who will be able to help you when you do have to give in and do this?
And these are the golden years, my eye! I don't know about you, but I am not having that great a time. LOL

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with your shoulder. They can be very painful and to have it immobilised for several weeks would be very hard to manage I would imagine. I hope it’s the better case scenario.
China is giving you lovely numbers again after her dental.... where we all held our breath until she started to improve.
I hope she doesn’t figure out the phosphorus binder!

No....I'll have to figure out a way to make it work, one way or the other!

You got that right, sister!! This getting old stuff sure ain't for wimps!!

Hey Chris, China's is looking great again!:D:D:D So happy to hear she likes her new food - whew:joyful:
I'm so sorry to hear about your shoulder. I hope the soreness from the shot goes away soon. A few years ago I developed "adhesive capsulitis" aka "frozen shoulder" aka "old lady shoulder". Constant pain and immobility for a year :( I was wishing there was some kind of surgery that would help it resolve faster but apparently there wasn't. Lots of PT acupuncture, cupping and topical CBD oil!!!
I agree with Ella, let's assume the it's going to be best case scenario for your surgery :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Whoo Hoo, China! Loving that green, green green!:D:D:D

I'm getting old and falling apart at the seams!
I can relate! I had two surgeries this year - basal joint arthoplasty on my hand and fusion in my back. Already scheduled a procedure to relieve severe tendinitis in the same hand for next month, and then repair of two arthritic toes. Joint replacement for some fingers is also on the horizon. Ugh! I feel like my parts should have had a longer warranty than this!

My brain still feels like I'm more like 18....it's my body that's pushing 94....LOL

Ha! I feel the same at 72 & my friend is 82 & she said she still feels 18 in her mind!

My son had rotator surgery a few months ago. I told him about having Stem cell injections to help it heal faster. He's a runner & during the surgery the Dr. took stems cells from his hip & injected his Shoulder & both knees.

3 months later he ran 50 miles! Said his shoulder & knees felt great! Maybe you could ask your Dr. about stem cell shots if you do go for surgery?

Well at least China is doing really good!

Have a Wonderful Day:)
