Why did the cats ask for a drum set? They wanted to make some mewsic!

Feeling sad and confused. The asthma is under control. He doesn't have diarrhea or vomiting. Both good things. However, I couldn't give him the gabapentin squirt this morning, he hates the squirts. I can't tell if/when he is in pain from the pancreatitis. And his diabetes numbers don't seem to be cooperating. I don't know if it is something I'm doing or not doing.

On a bright note, it's too cold and snowy to sit outside in the grass. Yesterday, I put the car in a sunny place. I have a fluffy sleeping bag inside so the car became a soft, warm place. I took Squeaky outside (he was excited, hadn't been out for a while) and after walking around a while (with me carrying him), we went and sat inside the car for about an hour. We had a great time. We'll repeat today; after a few more times I'll start the engine and maybe this summer we can take short excursions.

It's amazing that you can take Squeaky outside. I'm sure you're doing everything you can to make him feel good. It's so frustrating that they can't talk to us!

Oh, good! Don’t get discouraged! It’s a marathon for most. The budesonide is needed but makes regulation challenging.

How recent is recent? Which labs?

I'm wondering specifically if there's a chance his kidney values have changed in the past 2 months. Chronic kidney disease could cause nausea and loss of appetite too, and buprenorphine/gabapentin wouldn't help in that case.
