AMPS 129 - a little lower this morning after a very nice day yesterday with a PMPS in the 90's so he is coming down after a few days of higher am and pm pre shot tests after I gave him that tiny shot of insulin earlier in the week. It seems to always make his numbers go UP instead of down so really trying to stay away from it and letting his pancreas do the work after eating and it is working splendidly.
Someone mentioned that higher pre shot numbers (before he has food cause he sleeps all night and does not eat food left out for him) may be HIS normal and we would not know that since we never tested him prior to his diagnosis...something to ponder I guess.
Also, he has this gum disease issue and when he gets his teeth cleaned next month, I am not sure but am hoping this also brings his numbers lower (and praying it does not have the opposite effect!) and so we will see.
Happy rest of the weekend everyone!
