LiL G Money had a PERFECT lantus curve yesterday....oh wait...she's on lev haha_smiley haha_smiley So I don't know what yesterday was all about but at least she got some healing time. Hoping the bounce is quick today. Baby girl has been
mamabean's best snuggle buddy ever at night since I've been home. I'm still catching up on my zzzzzzs and last night I woke up to find her with her face right in mine with her little tiny meow and trying to move my arms so
she could hunker down in for the night. Sweet baby . So all is well in Gracieland today......first day of sunshine in a while and she and Tobes are on their condo in the front guest room basking in the sun together. Gus is ......probably under the Christmas tree :-D :-D

I guess I'm not going back over to TX this week. My oldest DS said it's better to wait and come back in a couple weeks after Christmas. I think they have been getting DM's pain a little better under control and now she is just being down-right difficult and bull-headed....which means back to normal for her. I had to tell her that if she didn't start behaving and being nice to the people helping her, that they would boot her out. And they will.....they aren't going to tolerate their employees being verbally abused and I don't blame them. So maybe this will teach her to play nice. I hope.

Oh sweet Gracie! She missed you and is trying to catch up on her beauty sleep as well, as if either of you need it. :lol:

Sorry to hear about DM. Maybe their threat will be enough to make her shape up. Fingers crossed she gets the "message".

Gracie is celebrating the sunshine by making some of her own. Very nice Gracie, but how about some nice blue too?

I hope your DM is able to come to terms with her altered reality and let people help her. It gets ugly if a facility asks a resident to move. Other facilities take that into consideration, making a replacement difficult. Experience speaking here.

Glad to read DM is back to her previous level of personality! (In PT, we strive for previous level of function - :-D ) And what a relief to know that you don't have to travel until after the holidays, such a stressful time to travel even when going for fun.

Liz is looking forward to her trip to Tucson next week, and the break will do her a world of good. She is such a trooper with the tests and shots, but medical anything is not her speciality. Thank goodness she is an engineer and a whiz at math, or no telling what sorts of doses I would be giving out! ohmygod_smile

I hope your mom settles in OK at the new place. Nice that you don't have to travel until after the holiday! Have a great day Marje.

So your mom is back to her usual self. I guess that is a good thing, right? Where I work, we have people that get mad at us and are ugly to us all the time. The staff understands that it is usually due to a valid reason, such as dementia. Hopefully, the staff at the ALF where your mom is will not take her verbal abuse too seriously. Of course, if she is physically abusive, that is a different thing.

Big hugs to you and I'm glad you get a little break and won't have to go to TX until after the holidays.

Good evening to you all. Gracie has been flat yellow all day and is about the same at PMPS as AMPS.

Mike's battery in his car was dead so we had to go deal with that today. And guess I spoke too soon about going back to TX. DM is back in the hospital tonight. I"m trying to find a way to get my DBIL to TX for Christmas because
DS doesn't want to leave mom. I'm probably headed back over on Mon through next Thursday. Mom is passing blood and they are worried about a GI bleed.

So...no catching up tonight either. Mike is getting ready for his trip tomorrow and since I will be leaving as he is getting home, I want to spend some time with him tonight after I get the flight situations sorted out. Looks like this
close to Christmas, there won't be any flying on our passes but I'll have to buy tickets.

Marje - I'm so sorry about your Mom. You've had a lot tossed at you lately...just wanted to let you know we're thinking of you.

Marje, I hope that they can get your mom's problem under control at the hospital and that you'll be able to make your travel arrangements without difficulties. Fingers and paws crossed here that all will go smoothly. Very sorry that this is happening now.

On a cheerier note: Tobey and Gracie were a big help in my kitchen today when I made the "cimmamum" "Cinnanuts" cookies!! I hope Tobes didn't eat the whole bag on the way home.

Marje, Just when you think all is well..... Sorry about your DM, aging parents ave many problems & so we do what we can.
Gracie took quite a dive tonite, hope maybe you see green by tomorrow-
Missed you--Sending Hugs, Love & our support for you in a bad situation--Hope your Mom settles down & improves.
 
Oh Marje, I'm so sorry this is still happening. You have so much to deal with right now. We are all keeping you and your mother in our thoughts. Good travels, next week. May it all be settled soon
