Really quite annoyed with the vet who had us do the culture last Thursday and the results are still not in even though Blue has been receiving Clavamox for the callus healing as well as Isaderm gel (which is a corticosteroid)...

Blue is doing really well. The callus is nearly healed. Lab culture, however, showed Methicillin resistance staplococcus and is therefore Clavamox resistant. So we quit Clavamox (almost finished anyway). Vet recommends Convenia again but we will discuss in the morning (if there are any alternatives to an injectable anti-biotic. Convenia has some bad press, although Blue has had it before when they first cleaned the callus and he did ok on it. We'll see.

I'm glad it has healed. I hope you can find an antibiotic to clear up the infection. Sending prayers.
