Yum has had a probably antibiotic induced liquid poo diarrhea for 2 weeks.
7 days on metronizadole (flagyl) did not cure it.
We finished the 7 days of metronizadole on Monday and on Tuesday evening I started her on the noncolonizing yeast S. boulardii + MOS. I mix one 5 billion CFU capsule with 1/8 a teaspoon of water and smear the paste on her paw, twice a day. This morning she had her first normal poo with no trace of liquid poo.

Of course I can't be sure the S. boulardii did the trick, but it comes highly recommended by both @Wendy&Neko and @Marje and Gracie .

Woohoo! Never used it, but have heard lots of others praise s. boulardii. I hope Yum starts to feel a lot better now.

I swear by the S.Boulardii. It is nice that you can get her to lick it off her paw. It was my belief that the S. Boulardii with MOS is very bitter. That is why I opted for the more expensive Florastor without MOS.

So glad the diarrhea is under control.

They only had with MOS at Whole Foods. She didn't seem to like it in her food. I tested it before I smeared it on her: in my opinion it tastes good! She doesn't spit it out or act upset. A civvie licked some off a dish.
