Good Morning, Everyone,

8 degrees this morning with snow. We're getting the storm from the mid west. Rusty is sitting on his perch watching the snow fall. We just finished an energetic game with "Red Ears". We had a good night (got to bed late because we were at a Xmas party, and then I got caught up in the board!). Rusty was impatient to get to bed and kept coming into my study to check on me. He slept on the bed all night, getting up occasionally to snack on the food left out for him. I woke up to his beautiful face looking into mine. Test (4 pokes: cold ear!) and shot accomplished. Breakfast has been served (some of it eaten; Rusty is a grazer). In a little while we'll have a game with Big Bug.

We are sending Chef Mannie good vetty vines today and Rusty will be over later to help the KTSS get the vetty smell off him.

Everyone have a good day. Back later (I really have to get Xmas stuff started today; haven't even written a card yet!)

Good morning guys! Sounds like rusty is living the good life, what's better then watching snow fall from inside a house? Hope you get caught up on your Christmas stuff, I baked all day yesterday and still have more to do! Have a great day guys!

Another great day for you, and for Rusty! What a special kitty - truly. I think it is so cute how he kept trying to get you to bed last night. So nice to wake up to a kitty face.

I was watching the weather stuff this morning - saw the snow moving through your area. How cold, and I would imagine, beautiful. It reminded me of Beth and Attie in Ohio. So much cold and snow there too. Enjoy the snowfall today. I do hope it warms up some. I feel for all those dealing with such cold and snowfalls. We have been spared that, but are dealing with severe flooding issues.

And I hear you on the Xmas stuff. I am in the same boat: cards not done, packages not mailed...

Rusty! Rusty, Kitchen Krew Apprentice 1st class: DUDE! You are the best - thanks for all your hard work at the party - I never knew anyone could dig a clam pit that fast. You were amazing! It was fun at Attie's and Curry's yesterday, wasn't it. We are so lucky to have such great friends. There is some pretty bad weather on the route that Rusty travelled with Phoebe. People have been trapped on the highway for 24 hours, and the military is evacuating them by helicopter and snowmobile! We were so lucky to get Rusty transported when we did. I couldn't be happier to be reading about you waking up and looking into his beautiful face!

There is some pretty bad weather on the route that Rusty travelled with Phoebe. People have been trapped on the highway for 24 hours, and the military is evacuating them by helicopter and snowmobile! We were so lucky to get Rusty transported when we did.

i saw that in the news this morning and thought the same thing...i thought of Rusty and his journey to his forever home! i'm glad he and all involved made it home safe!!!

A friend just emailed me about the people stranded on the highway. Scary stuff.

We got a ton of fluffy white snow last night - not anything heavy. But I think this causes the white out conditions. I'm glad I don't have to commute.

How long till you get your fire place inspected Ella?

Hope you all are alright up there--We got snow late last nite into the am today--Moonie is dropping like a rock!

i saw that in the news this morning and thought the same thing...i thought of Rusty and his journey to his forever home! i'm glad he and all involved made it home safe!!!

Just think, Rusty could almost have been the first FDMB kitty to be transported by helicopter and snowmobile!

Holy Cow! I missed those weather and road reports. Linda and Phoebe, we are indeed lucky we did the transport when we did.
The wood stove gets inspected/repaired on Thurs. or Friday.
Today we have gorgeous snow. It really looks like winter (feels like it, too)

I have to chime in too and say I thought of you, and the transport when I saw the weather report for that area. Some of those people have been stuck there for a very long time.

wouldn't that have been something - kitty transport via helicopter... you'd be famous!

Nice to read that your stove will be repaired soon. I can't imagine how cold it must be there now. and beautiful. I just love fresh fallen snow - pristine snow. gorgeous!

Rusty had a fantastic play with "Yellow tail" (small catnip mouse) at bedtime. This was practically the real thing--cat in the wild! Then he enthusiastically began to eat his bedtime food and scarfed and barfed!! Today we tried a little Cowboy Cookout (5% Merrick) at lunch and again tonight (gave him half Cowboy cookout and half Wellness Chicken). Rusty likes the CC a lot (probably why he ate so fast tonight. I've not seen that before.) A new flavor!
